Absolutely enjoyed my stay , fishing was my main purpose for my visit, and it didn’t disappoint me , so much so , I’m going back again in 2 weeks time .
Outstanding place for any adult to visit for a bit of piece and quiet ,and a spot of fishing .
Toilets and shower block pristine condition and spotlessly clean .

Too many gees which spoil the grass with droppings underfoot near lakeside

All very tidy and well signposted.

This part of the country is beautiful. The site was a nice place. Had a good 5 days but even though I booked it for fishing my husband had no enthusiasm to fish.

The fish are obviously fed by hand so are not afraid of shadows etc come right to you. Worst thing of all though was the Canadian geese. Proper spoilt our time. Woke us up at 5.30 am with their noise. Was always flapping about. Not good. X

Very welcoming. Good fishing. Beer tent looked lovely.

Rubbish lying around I.e. matresses, pool table, wooden pallets. Hardstanding very rocky so uncomfortable to walk on. No shop at all..

May i start by saying this is a brilliant site only 40 mins from my house and is a adult only site ,dogs a very welcome if under control and do not cause a disturbance to others, the site is clean and well looked after ,the fishing ponds are well stocked and the fish in there vary from carp ,rudd ,roach ,perch and many others species the fish are all in brilliant condition.
Peter and Kath are the owners they have a son Andrew and a daughter Alex (this is the dislike part please read) and there family help along with Sam they are all willing to go that extra mile to help you.
the showers and toilets a 5 star kept very clean, there is a washer and dryer for a small fee ,pot washing facilities etc.

Over the last 18months or so Alex has been given a bit of a lead role in the running ,her attitude towards many campers stinks she has no customer service skills what so ever when you speak to people on the site they give you the same reaction some even saying she looks down her nose at you, well this is very true.
The site is up for sale a local man has taken interest in it and he will be taking over, when he takes over we will visit again but not till then.
