Eco-friendly, family-friendly and nature-filled hols await at family-owned Camping Prades Park, right slap bang in the Prades Mountains nature reserve, the second biggest in Catalonia. (Bring energy and sturdy shoes: there be high hills.)
The site is also about 50 minutes' drive from the beaches of the Costa Dorada – sandy days await – and 45 from the old old city of Tarragona – cultural days await too. Many hiking trails, cycling paths and opps for kayaking and canoeing are all around the area.
On site, keep the active theme up by hiring the padel/tennis court, basketball court or football pitch, or lounge around the heated outdoor pool; a paddling pool is around too. Or just find your own quiet spot around the grounds: take a look at the site pics to see just how pretty this place is...
Then to eats… the mountain region surrounding has its own flavour of traditional Spanish dishes that can be most enthusiastically sampled in the site restaurant or outdoor terrace. There's also a bar and a site shop.

Local attractions
Outdoor, cultural and leisure activities all await in the surrounding area, along with many more places to sample yet more of the traditional Spanish cuisine of these parts. A (simply spectacular) waterfall can also be wandered at nearby La Febró Canyon, a ticketyboo locale too for canyoning and swimming.
Find smashing views over the valleys and mountains at Abellera Hermitage two kilometres from Prades, a site with a 16th-century chapel and ancient cave once lived in by Fra Bernat Boil, the priest who tagged along with Columbus on his second voyage to America.
The Cambrils beaches of Costa Dorada are a definite day trip from Camping Prades Park, and while you're in the area you must also insist on a day or two among the award-winning beaches, old buildings and UNESCO Roman ruins of Tarragona.
Finally, if you're on a break with the kids/rather enamoured of Peter Pan, the PortAventura theme park is within 45 minutes' drive.
