The site is right next to the sea, with direct access to two coves, and in an area of natural interest. It's also close to the wetlands of the Ebro Delta Natural Park and a 35-minute drive from the theme park PortAventura World. This is a prime place to explore the scenery of Costa Dorada. Camping Ametlla has a family-friendly atmosphere and arranges entertainment and activities for all ages during high season. Taste the local cuisine in the bar-restaurant or take charge of your own food by shopping in the on-site shop. A playground, a sports area and seasonal outdoor pools are also on site.

A neat campsite with lekker big spots, helpful staff & clean ablutions. Visitors loved the pool, beach access & shop. Wi-Fi could be better, check-in needs work. Beautiful surrounds and walks too.

Liked Le camping est très bien. Emplacement spacieux et sanitaires propres malgré le minde

Disliked Nous avons été déçus par le restaurant. C'est très bruyant car on mange juste à côté de la scène où se passe le spectacle.
Nous avons pris le thon à la plancha avec un wok de légumes. On nous a servi une assiette avec très peu de légumes qui baignaient dans le gras et par conséquent le thon, même s'il restait bon, il était gras à cause des légumes

Liked El trato en recepcion de 10 la gente de la entrada supre super atentos y en general todo super bien

Disliked En la terraza del bar hay unas mesas que de noche imposible cenar o tomar algo por la peste a los contenedores de basura que estan justo debajo

Por el resto rrstaurante se come super bien una buena carta o menus muy recomendable fuimos 2 noches y repetire mas el años que viene

Liked Very well organised and managed site. Clean and well maintained.

Disliked Bit pricey. The booking process wasn’t clear - I booked a pitch then on arrival I was told that at 7.5m I was too long for a standard pitch that I’d booked. However, great customer service in that they found me a pitch that was big enough!

Liked Huge site, but zone H was v busy and few options of where to stay.
Very clean toilet blocks and site.
Good facilities. Good shade.
Judit in the shop is a superstar and so helpful, welcoming and excellent English.
Access to beach superb

Disliked Big pools not open in week.
Sandra in reception was not very welcoming. She was abrupt.
Poor and intermittent WiFi on pitch.

Local attractions

As it's the coast, fishing and watersports are handily available nearby, along with other active options like hiking, cycling and wandering around the Ebro Delta Natural Park, one of the biggest wetland areas of the western Med. The five areas and many rides of the PortAventura theme park are also nearby in Salou; plan a couple of days for here to also dive into the Costa Caribe Aquatic Park and down its huge freefall slide. And then another day for Salou itself, the ancient port town of beaches, coves, the Lumine Golf Club and the Auditorium Theatre. About 10 kilometres from Salou is Tarragona, a fab city filled with Roman ruins: it was used as a colony and fortress by the Scipios during Rome's lengthy spat with the Carthaginians. The Roman ruins of Tarragona are now a UNESCO World Heritage Site with piles of Latin remains to see: frankly you'd need to stay in town for a month or so to see the whole heap, but if you can only manage a day or two, top picks for most folk would be the old city walls, the Tarragona Amphitheatre and, just outside town, Les Ferreres Aqueduct.
