Yet more activity awaits within easy reach of the site: you could, for example, hire a banana boat, take a pedalo ride, or – much recommended – make for the diving and watersports centre next to the site in Giverola cove. And then? Well, you could follow the stunning waymarked coastal route along this wild and hilly coastline from the site to the medieval hilltop town of Tossa de Mar, to explore its Old Town, clamber around the ruins of the Castillo, and browse the galleries and shops for souvenirs and local crafts; there are of course beaches here too... Then there's Lloret de Mar (25 minutes' drive), for wanders around the Jardines de Santa Clotilde and the Iberian Settlement of Puig Castellet, or taking things most easy indeed at one of the town spas. Seeking city sightseeing instead? The theatres, restaurants, museums, galleries and bars of Girona are about an hour’s drive from Camping Pola and Barcelona is about an hour and 40 minutes.
