Sitting pretty between Catalonia’s Costa Brava beaches and the ancient hilltop village of Pals, Campotel at Camping Cypsela is all about a balance of family fun and total relaxation. There’s so much to do on site that you might be tempted to stay put all holiday, but if you are inspired to explore the area, reception staff can organise tours and bike hire too.
No need to set anything up here, so you can relax from the off. Sheltered by pine trees, your static caravan awaits, kitted out with a mini kitchen, shower and a cosy living space. You can spread out on the decking and kick off the day with freshly baked croissants from the on-site bakery, fill your basket with goodies at the supermarket and sit down to alfresco evening meals. If you want time off from the cooking, simply choose between the takeaway service, restaurant and tapas bar.
By day, the bouncy castle, Pirate Ship and poolside waterslides should keep the kids coming back for more. Take advantage of their time in the (supervised) kids' club to sneak off for a pampering hairdo and massage, or ramp up fitness levels at an aquagym class (if you must). No need to worry about teens either – they get their own club and outdoor activities like trampolining, mini golf and knocking a ball around on the padel court.
The action doesn’t stop after dark, what with the bowling alley (extra charge) and night-time entertainment (in high season). And at the end of the day, few things beat relaxing on the bar terrace with a cold drink in hand.

Local attractions
Getting everyone away from the pool might be your biggest problem here, but should you be successful in your mission, a free shuttle service runs down to Platja de Pals beach in five minutes. Here you can kick back under parasols and soak up the sun, mess round on banana boats, hire paddleboards or try out kitesurfing.
Liven things up for the kids with go-karting sessions (10 minutes’ drive) or hire canoes to paddle the rocky coastline off Platja de Tamariu beach (25 minutes). Let them loose on the lazy river and waterslides at Parc Aquàtic Aquabrava (50 minutes), and back near base, a couple of hours running around rope trails and zip lining at Costa Brava Parc Aventura (10 minutes’ walk) will wear everyone out nicely.
Slow things right down with a stroll around the hilltop castle at Pals (10 minutes’ drive) or head inland to historic Girona (50 minutes) to spot 'Game of Thrones' filming locations in the old town.
