Well now, that's a rather spectacular watery sight. You'll likely want to spend days making a splash at Camping El Pla De Mar on the Costa Brava: as well as the big pool here, you'll also be able to dip into waterfalls and two big Jacuzzi tubs…
Making a splash off site is simples too, as El Pla De Mar is set in the Mediterranean coastal town of Malgrat de Mar and has direct access to a sandy beach, with several more within walking distance. Fishing as well as watersports of all flavours are all easily accessible nearby.
Somewhat handily given that it's so close to the beach, this is a family-friendly site, arranging a kids' club with activities during the summer season. There's also a playground, a pétanque court, a TV room and – should your offspring be interested? – a washing-up area and a launderette.
Camping El Pla De Mar also has a café-restaurant and a food shop. Barbecues are allowed and gas cylinders are sold on site.

Route directions
From Barcelona: on the C-32 to N-II take Exit 130 onto the N-II to Palafolls/Malgrat de Mar. Continue on N-II and take the BV-6001. Turn right onto Camí de la Pomareda. The campsite will be on the right.
From Lloret de Mar: drive along Av. Vila de Blanes and head west towards Carrer de la Riera. Take the GI-682 and the Ctra. Accés Costa Brava, go through one roundabout and continue onto BV-6001. Drive to Camí de la Pomareda. At the roundabout, take the second exit and continue on Camí de la Pomareda. The campsite will be on the right.

Local attractions
Camping El Pla De Mar's local seaside town of Malgrat de Mar is a popular Med coastal spot in these parts, for its three beaches, many cafés and restaurants, and easy access to other Costa Brava towns like Tossa, Blanes and Lloret de Mar.
The site's well placed to explore coast and countryside, whether you want to hire a bike to get out on two wheels, or dive into the sea to try out the local watersports. The dolphin park and zoo of Marineland Catalunya are also close by for family days out.
Many folk holidaying around the Costa Brava also get along to Barcelona for the day: it's about 60 kilometres from Malgrat de Mar and as you might guess is stuffed with sights to see, from its ancient centre to its many splendid museums.
