Shaded serviced pitches
Pitches with shade

  • Serviced pitches in a restored village in the Aragonese Pyrenees
  • Five minutes' drive from medieval Aínsa; lots of outdoor activities
  • Restaurant and bar on site, plus summer pool and kids' activities
Now here's an unusual setting for your holiday in the Aragonese Pyrenees – Centro de Vacaciones Morillo de Tou is a resort developed from an abandoned village about five minutes’ drive from the medieval town of Aínsa. Pitches here are at the entrance of the village (so they're easily accessed), spread over terraces that were once used by the farmers that lived here. Each one has electric and water hookups along with a shade to keep you cool in warmer weather, and they're nicely spacious so you should have space for all your kit. Having the town close by means that shops and places to eat are not far off – but you won't have to go that far to find something to eat or drink, as there’s a bar and restaurant on site. Playgrounds and wifi services are also available throughout the year, and in summer you'll also have access to a supermarket, a library, a large open-air pool and various kids' entertainments. If you're the kind of person that prefers active holidays to ones spent lounging by the pool, you’ll be in an excellent spot here. The village is well located for both the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park and the Sierra y Cañones de Guara Natural Park – and that means all sorts of outdoor activities are on hand, including canoeing, rafting and canyoning as well as hikes and mountain bike rides.

Local attractions

This area is a real paradise for outdoor activities: the Centro BTT Zona Zero Pirineos (five minutes' drive) is a top location for mountain biking, and local activity centres organise things like canyoning, rafting, canoeing and via ferrata climbing. The Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park (40 minutes) has a real variety of landscapes for hikers, including forests, gorges and limestone karsts, and there are more trails to explore in the Sierra y Cañones de Guara Natural Park (half an hour). Lake views? You can find those at Mediano reservoir (10 minutes) or the glacial lake Ibón de Plan (an hour), surrounded by soaring peaks. Meanwhile, for a themed hike, head to Tella (half an hour) to follow the circular route that takes you to three local hermitages, dating from the 11th to 16th centuries. There’s more history to explore in Aínsa (five minutes) – start at the medieval town square, then wander through the Old Town to find the Romanesque church and the castle built on the site of an old Arab fortress. The Ecomuseo de la Fauna Pirenaica and Museo de las Artes y los Oficios tradicionales are worth visiting while you're here too.
