Get ready for stacks to do in Slovenia… small and family-run Camp Vodenca is in the Soča valley, a famed destination in the land for all sorts of outdoor activities. The site is surrounded by the Julian Alps, with the emerald green waters of the Soča river flowing very close by. You can book hiking, gorge walking, canyoning, ziplining, paragliding, kayaking, whitewater rafting, snorkelling and caving trips with the Camp Vodenca owners; golf, horse riding and mountain biking are easily accessed in Triglav National Park, also very close by, and the Alpe-Adria-Trail runs right through the Vodenca grounds. Vodenca's also well placed for fly fishing (the only method of fishing allowed in the Bovec area), where anglers can hook themselves marble trout, grayling and rainbow trout in the Soča and its tributaries. And in among it all? Town days and traditional cuisine can be dipped into at Bovec, less than two kilometres away. Site facilities include a bar, a shared kitchen, a common room with tables and benches, barbecues, a campfire area and a multisports area. Toilets and showers are also available for guests.

Great location, peaceful vibes, and super clean. Staff are a friendly bunch. Pitches are spacious and shady, close to the river and fun. Facilities are top-notch, loos and showers spotless. Only snag? Wi-Fi can be a bit iffy and showers busy in peak times. Cash only, mind.

Disliked The receptionist was not kind at all. Very blunt.

They also gave us an unexpected tourist fee of 40 euros ontop of the agreed price online.

Toilet stalls are not tall so you could almost look at someone on the toilet. No drying towels to dry your hands after washing them either.

Apparently it was in the fine letters....

Liked De fijne, relaxte sfeer, heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, schoon sanitair, mooie ligging. Een hele fijne camping!

Disliked Iets meer douches zou handig zijn. Voor kinderen was er niet veel te doen op de camping, een tafeltennistafel was leuk geweest. Wel groot aanbod van activiteiten die je in de omgeving kan doen en personeel gaf hierbij goed advies.

Liked Io ed il mio migliore amico abbiamo pernottato con la nostra tenda per 1 notte in questo bellissimo campeggio.
Tutto molto curato, pulito e con vari servizi.
Gran punto a favore, per quanto mi riguarda, è l'accesso illimitato e gratuito ai cani (purchè tenuti giustamente al guinzaglio, anche lunghine)
È presente una cucina con fornelli ed un frigo, bagni grandi con docce, prese elettriche a disposizione per ricaricare molti dispositivi alla volta.
Nei prati in cui si possono mettere le tende ci sono barbecue per grigliare, bidoni per la raccolta differenziata, portabici, un punto per fare il falò.
Inoltre è presente una rete wifi accessibile con password disponibile in reception.
Unicissima pecca, si può pagare solo in contanti.
La vista inoltre è veramente stupenda, il campeggio è letteralmente contornato da montagne e gode di un panorama, sinceramente, meraviglioso.
Torneremo presto con altri amici molto volentieri!!

Local attractions

This is a smashing setting for Slovenian hiking, particularly along the Alpe-Adria-Trail, the 750-kilometre highly scenic path connecting Slovenia, Austria and Italy. Its local part runs right through Camp Vodenca on its well-signposted journey (punctuated along its sections, you'll be chuffed to know, by plenty of places to eat). The border of Triglav National Park – the only park of its kind in Slovenia – is very close to the site and home to some splendid natural sights such as Slovenia's highest mountain, Triglav (2864 metres), and the Julian Alps. Kanin mountain, overlooking the Alps and the Adriatic Sea, lies around 13 kilometres west of the site, and is a popular spot for skiing and other snow sports. For those who yearn after yet more natural sites, the Boka Falls, Lake Krn, the Vršič Pass and the mountain road to the Mangart Saddle are within easy reach of here.

All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 4 day(s) of arrival.

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.

In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.

Changes to your holiday

Modifications are subject to a €15.00 (R285.90) fee.

No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.

Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.

Reception is closed from noon to 4 p.m.. No arrivals are permitted between these times.
Reception is open from 9 a.m. to noon and from to between 18/04 et 30/09.

General

The bar and/or restaurant is open between 18/04 et 30/09.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
