Liked This was a beautiful tranquil site with great pitches that overlooked the valley below. Clean and organised. The restaurant is great with great food, and if I had a very small suggestion - it would be to put more lights (perhaps fairy / string lights) on the outside eating area. It was very dark and we couldn't read the menu - everyone had to get their phone torches out. Over all, one of our favourite campsites.

Liked Cleanliness of the site and facilities. Friendly staff in reception and cafe. The lovely Madredeus (Portuguese group) being played in the shower/toilets. The fact that my home language was spoken which made me feel safe in the event that I needed any help. Spacious site and pitches. The pool was superb and I loved that during the peak season we'd pay to use it as this would effectively manage the numbers in the pool & area so that those of us who wanted to swim could swim! A really good idea. We stayed here Sep 2025, off peak so the pool was free to use. Lovely quiet setting in nature and we were visited by wild cats during the night which was a surprise!! Liked having the bar, cafe and restaurant as an option. Loved the fact that there was no 'entertainment' so we could enjoy the peace, the silence, the owls, the stars.

Disliked Nothing to dislike. We will return! Oh, wifi only available in cafe area!

Liked A wonderful site set in a valley with a series of terraces, quiet and tranquil. The facilities are immaculately clean.

The food is excellent and traditional, you rarely find authentic food like this is Portugal.

Be warned, make sure that you put your name down in good time to reserve a table. The table service is a little eccentric, but stick with it and enjoy the food.

Really lovely pool.

The minor road that leads to the campsite, would be a wonderful cycle towards Spain.

Liked Excellent campsite and spotlessly clean staff are excellent and very friendly restaurant food was really good and very reasonably priced and great location to watch the sun set

Disliked WiFi only available at reception building. No a dislike but just an inform for other travellers, This camp site is in the countryside so you need to plan ahead for foodstuffs

Liked The location was good and the facilities clean.

Disliked The pitch was very stony and I couldn't get my tent pegs in the ground. There were a lot of steps to get down to the toilet block

From Puebla via ZA925 drive as far as the E82 (A4). Take exit signposted Vila Real to Campismo/Vinhais N103 and follow signs to the campsite.

Local attractions

Wander out from the site and you’ll quickly be able to pick up some of the well-marked trails that run across the Montesinho Natural Park. In summer, pick cherries as you go, and in autumn join groups to learn about foraging for mushrooms. Ask on site for details of hikes that suit your abilities and interests – perhaps drive the half hour to the village of Dine for a walk that takes in ancient lime kilns and a neolithic cave. Also half an hour away is Quintanilha, where you can take a walk along the banks of the Maçãs river to a bathing spot to cool off in the clear water. Guadramil, 50 minutes’ drive from the site, is the place to go if you’d like to spot wildlife such as deer and wolves. It’s worth heading out of the park for a day to visit the town of Bragança, around a 25-minute drive away. Start with a wander around the medieval castle and citadel before heading over to the Romanesque Domus Municipalis; also in town are a military museum and the Iberian Museum of Masks and Costume.
