Get busy getting busy at the super Sicily site of Camping La Spiaggetta, where the staying is easy and the setting is sandy.
The site is in a small fishing village away from Sicily's busy tourist resorts, with direct access to a beach of golden sand and covering five and a half hectares of lush Med landscape filled with Agave plants, East Indian figs, banana trees...
As it's right next to the beach, Sicilian sea views at La Spiaggetta of course come as standard; the on-site restaurant is superbly scenic too as it's surrounded by green gardens.
Facilities on site include a games room and an amenities block with a washing-up area and laundry room.

That sandy beach we mentioned that's right next to La Spiaggetta? It's in the small-sized and scenic Sicilian fishing village of Sampieri to Sicily's south-east, a place of a long and beaut stretch of sand, a promenade and old stone fishermen’s cottages – you'll find a biscuit-maker here too, so leave some room in your kit for souvenirs.
Sampieri is close to the town of Scicli, a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its Baroque architecture and ancient history; favoured tourist spots here include the town hall, the Chiesa del Carmine on Piazza Busacca and Chiesa di Santa Maria la Nova.
The museums, architecture and attractions of the bigger towns of Ragusa, Noto and Siracusa are also easily reached from the site.
