Fully-serviced grass and gravel touring pitch

Liked Very well set up and layed out site. Easy to find parking bays with electric hook up and water available. Toilet/shower block was absolutely immaculate also had a laundry room which I didn't use but did look great too. Check in at hotel reception was easy with just a form to fill in and was then handed a map of the site with my parking bay marked out. Security excellent as given a swipe card to go through a security barrier into the area. Nice dog walking area. Can also order bread for the following morning. All in all perfect

Fully-serviced grass and gravel touring pitch

Liked Showers and wc’s clean
Plenty of pitches

Disliked Wifi poor
Wouldn’t recommend this site if you have a dog,, rules are impossible to follow. Warnings about being ejected from site if your dog does a wee!!!!
Some very unfriendly “Ken & Karens” made the stay very unfriendly.
Site lacks any atmosphere!

From the manager: We have many guests with dogs and must insist that everyone complies with the rules of the park so that you can enjoy a thoroughly pleasant experience and avoid any unpleasant surprises left behind by other dog owners. Provided you agree to the rules of the course regarding the handling of your dog, you are welcome to visit us at any time. Stay clean :-)

Local attractions

As you’re a short walk from the medieval fortified city of Kastellaun, your first jaunt off site should be an amble around its plentiful winding alleys and stops among its little shops. Several good restaurants and inns are around too should you fancy tucking into regional tidbits or quaffing top-notch German brews. As you might expect around here, piles of hiking and cycling options are around, with countryside tramps along sections of the 410-kilometre Saar-Hunsrück-Steig hiking trail, or the BurgStadt-Pfad path both nearby. If you’d rather sightsee from the saddle, hire a bike on site and pedal from Kastellaun along the Schinderhannes route, or to the nearby Moselle and the Rhine riverbanks. Over in Bell, a short drive or pedal from base, there’s a big animal park that – alongside lots of lovely furry and feathery farmyard beasties – houses several Siberian tigers; take the kids to peek at feeding time and see other critters like ostriches, eagles and sheep. Also in the area is a high ropes course for lovers of adventures at lofty heights, and Germany’s longest suspension bridge over in Geierlay.
