This clean, well-kept campsite gets kudos for its spotless loos. Guests liked the roomy pitches, easy check-in, and nearby pool/Italian restaurant. Great for hiking/cycling, though the motorway's a bit noisy and there are mozzies.

Disliked Volledig digitaal in/uitchecken. Bediening stroom, wasmachine, enz alle met pasje welke je kunt opwaarderen. Bij uitchecken krijg je het resttegoed terug op de bank.
Betaling dus alleen per bank. Geen contante betaling mogelijk.

Liked Lovely little site with playground, modern shower block with washing machines all right next door to amazing pool and Italian Restaurant.

Disliked Fully self service checkin. We didn’t have a checkin code as it went to junk mail so please double check your junk for your check in code otherwise it’s difficult to check in

Liked Es war wirklich alles super. Es war alles sehr sauber und es waren alle sehr freundlich.

Local attractions

A walk along the river to Nabburg is a nice way to get to know your surroundings, but if you turn in the other direction you can walk to the Freilandmuseum Oberpfalz in around half an hour (or drive it in five minutes). This open-air museum has plenty to see, including farm animals and historic buildings, and a programme of kid-friendly activities such as crafts and archery sessions. There are several nice walking routes to try out nearby, and there’s also a lovely chance to see the scenery from above at Aussichtsturm auf dem Kulm (10 minutes’ drive), a 20-metre-high observation tower with great views. Erlebnisholzkugel (20 minutes), ‘the world’s largest adventure ball’ is another place with fine views, this time of the Steinberger See. For a taste of city life, head to Regensburg (40 minutes) to wander through its medieval centre, cross the 16-arched stone bridge across the Danube and visit St Peter Cathedral and House of Bavarian History museum. If you’d rather stick to natural settings, try taking the kids to splash about at the water playground Erlebnispark Wasser-Fisch-Natur (20 minutes).
