Boasting amazing Mont Blanc views, this family campsite has a private lake with a slide & trampoline, plus a nearby public lake for more fun. Spacious pitches & generally clean facilities (some dated). Friendly owners. Occasional motorway/train noise. Enjoy the natural setting & lakeside restaurant.

Electric optional grass and earth motorhome pitch

Liked Bathrooms clean and modern

Disliked Given a pitch right by the rubbish disposal! Rat holes all around the area. Plage side in poor repair with disused showers, and planters full of dead plants!

From the manager: Bonjour
Sorry but you didn t understand that the cross on the map we did give you was just to show you where the waste container was. We never ask where clients to park near the container.
It was plenty enought free pitches around the camping.

Electric optional grass and gravel tent, touring caravan or trailer tent pitch

Liked We had a fantastic stay at this campsite. Shady, spacious pitch with amazing views of Mont Blanc. The lake area was very special and the bar was a bonus! We did not eat in the restaurant so can't comment on the food. The location is outstanding with a further public lake a couple of minutes walkaway with lots of additional activities available. The showers and toilets were well maintained and clean. The ladies who run the site were very friendly.
We would 100% recommend!

Electric optional grass and earth motorhome pitch

Liked Great little site, not on the main Passy lake but has its own lovely lake, much quieter and pretty. Once is was the only lake in Passy before the big one was created along with the Autoroute. The ladies running the site are helpful, will order bread and croissants for the morning. There is a bar and restaurant that do great food. The toilets are clean and have loo roll- fabulous. The site is flat and there's lots of space.

Disliked Bit of road noise if you pitch close to it. The train passes close by but didn't notice that at all. One toilet block is newer than the other- not really an issue.

Electric optional grass and earth motorhome pitch

Liked Used as stop off 2 nights arrived in evening had 1 full day left early after 2nd night as planned. Excellent views. Lake on site and next door great for kids, mine aged 9 / 12 entertained for stay welcomed break after long journey. Good location for activities in area. Excellent food in restaurant. Staff friendly.

Disliked Is tired / dated in places one of toilet blocks (use new one which is fine) also around site lake. The campsite & lake on site had unpleasant smell maybe with hotter weather.
Is next to railway be aware of train noise effected husbands sleep rest of us coped fine.

Electric optional grass and earth motorhome pitch

Liked Swimming in the clear water of the lake
Children enjoyed waterslide
Spectacular view of mountains from the cafe and lakeside.

Disliked One toilet block quite old , other one much better, so worth planning your pitch position accordingly - arrive early!
Main road noisy in some parts more than others.
Mosquitos inevitable due to lakeside location
Security of site is high level due to public access nearby

Electric optional grass and earth motorhome pitch

Liked Krásné místo, v okolí spousta sportovních a výletních možností. V blízkém dosahu i město. Přístup na soukromou pláž.

Disliked Trochu nižší úroveň hygieny. K wi-fi se nám nepodařilo připojit, ale kvůli tomu jsem tam nejeli :)

Local attractions

Hikes and bike rides are easily accessed in the mountains around the site, several from Sallanches under your own steam and more available to book with local guides. Three highlights are the routes around Mayères Alp, the Veran valley and around Doran; the Sallanches tourist office (in the 14th-century castle at Quai de l'Hôtel de Ville) is open from Monday to Saturday for info on these and on guided tours. By car, set off for trips to Chamonix, for shops, cafés, restaurants and more heady Mont Blanc views, plus rides on the cable car ride to Aiguille de Midi, rising 3,842 metres from the town centre. Skiing is easily accessed around the area – 'tis the Alps, after all – and the blue waters of Lac Bénit are within 50 minutes' drive if you'd prefer warmer pursuits amid scenic lakeside walks. If you're holidaying with kids or teens, Sallanches has a couple of playgrounds, a skate park, a public pool, bowling and a big indoor play centre for ages up to 12. Paintballing is available at Passy, 10 minutes' drive away.
