- Countryside park between Bordeaux and Toulouse
- In the rural and foodie department of the Gers
- Two pools, spa, sun deck and private lake for fishing
There's plenty going on at countryside site Camping Les Lacs de Courtes in the Gers.
Two swimming pools and a spa would keep anyone reasonably occupied for a couple of days (at least), but then there's the fishing and the boating on the Les Lacs private lake, the sun deck, and the themed parties in the evening...
And all in the Gers department of the Midi-Pyrénées, an area said to be the most rural in western Europe and so filled with hikes, bike rides, farm markets, old villages and famed French food and drink.
Les Lacs de Courtes is a friendly and laidback site that also runs activities to keep kids and teenagers occupied – Armagnac for adults after your day out? The park also has a snack bar, volleyball, pétanque and miniature golf.

Local attractions
The Gers is stuffed with heritage of the historical, cultural and tipples/vittles variety, much of it close to Camping Les Lacs de Courtes.
Its local village is Estang, a traditional Gascon village between Bordeaux and Toulouse and with several shops and cafés; elsewhere, the area is filled with festivals, old villages museums, castles, churches, markets, river cruises...
The Gascony region is famed in France for its food and drink: hunt down Gers gastronomy like foie gras, confit, Armagnac, Floc de Gascogne, Pousse Rapière liqueur and wild mushrooms, before/during trips to the Auch Cathedral Basilica in Gers capital Auch, or active days horse riding and playing tennis or golf. Fearless flyers can take to the skies in a light aircraft, although probably best not to have too much Gascon food first.
The thermal baths of Barbotan are about 10 kilometres from the site, near a palm and banana tree filled park and two kilometres north of the lake Uby which has watersports and a sandy beach.
Also have a race to the events of the Circuit Paul Armagnac in nearby Nogaro, once home to the French motorcycle Grand Prix.
