On the edge of Brittany’s Trégor region, Camping Domaine du Colombier is a prettily landscaped, family-friendly site on seven acres of land ablaze with flowers. Sitting between the historic towns of Guingamp and Lannion (both about 15 minutes’ drive), it’s also less than half an hour’s drive from the sandy beaches and dramatic pink-granite cliffs of the Côtes-d’Armor. Things really get going here in high season: younger kids can join organised entertainment led by camp mascots Mickey and Minnie, while tweens and teens play volleyball or ping-pong and go horse riding – if that’s not quite enough, the indoor pool, waterslides and pedal boats of Armoripark are less than five minutes’ stroll away. Back on site, the whole family can join in with evening concerts and games of pétanque or browse the weekly craft market, and when parents are looking for some downtime, they can take themselves off to the spa for a bit of pampering. Barbecues are permitted on site – buy foodie supplies from the shops in Bégard (five minutes) – and breakfasts are easily sorted with the bread delivery service available at reception during the summer. High season (July and August) is also the time to get to know your fellow guests at the organised oyster tastings or sociable moules-frites dinners.

It’s nice and easy to get out and explore from this site, as hiking trails and cycle loops run directly from the park into the surrounding countryside. Other walking areas nearby include the Vallée du Perrier (five minutes' drive) and the woods of Espace naturel du Champ de Tir (10 minutes); there’s also a public golf course at Golf Bégard (10 minutes) if you fancy playing a round. Dip into local history with a wander around the working watermill at Moulin du Palacret (five minutes), a visit to the pilgrimage chapel at Menez Bré (10 minutes) and a trip to the Gothic-style Château de la Roche-Jagu (25 minutes). There’s also much to enjoy in simply wandering around local villages or towns – places like Belle-Isle-en-Terre (15 minutes), which has an aquarium, or Pontrieux (20 minutes) on the banks of the Trieux river. The pretty town of Paimpol (35 minutes) is another option; make a day of it by visiting one of the nearby beaches or carry on to L’Arcouest (45 minutes) for a boat trip to Île-de-Bréhat.

Great campsite, spacious pitches (some sloped). Clean, attractive facilities, lagoon pool. Friendly owner adds to charm. Evening fun and events a winner, plus next to a massive playground. Minor issues (leaky sink, strong shower) but still a top spot. Some found English communication tricky.

Liked Super camping pour une nuit sous tente ! Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l’ambiance conviviale avec le petit bar et le lagon, parfaits pour se détendre. L’accueil a été très sympathique, l’équipe est souriante et les lieux sont propres. Nous avons passé une très bonne soirée.

Disliked Petit bémol : un évier dans les sanitaires fuyait et le jet de la douche n’était pas très agréable (un peu trop violent). Mais rien de dramatique, c’est un super camping !

Piazzole molo spaziose su manto erboso (attenzione alle pendenze del terreno però..)
Bagni belli e puliti. Non grandissimo e quindi abbastanza intimo.
Spazio esterno a attrezzato con parterre con piccola pista da ballo e palco per feste ed eventi musicali oltre che angolo bar. Noi siamo stati a cavallo di ferragosto e la notte del 14 abbiamo passato una serata magnifica ballando insieme a molte persone del posto balli bretoni bevendo ottima birra e drink!!
Presente una piccola piscina in contesto sabbioso!! Sembra una piccola oasi---
Situato in posizione comoda e proprio davanti un bellissimo parco giochi per bimbi che consiglio (il nostro piccolo di 6 anni si è divertito tantissimo!)
Proprietaria gentilissima e disponibilissima.
Ottima valutazione, super consigliato!!

Electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked Fantastic amenities. The shower block and toilets were extremely clean and well maintained, and the owner very friendly and helpful. Tokens for the washing machine and drier are from the reception and cost 4€ for each.
In early September there were very few on the site, so it was lovely and quiet. We had a super stay.
