- Quiet, family-friendly Lot-et-Garonne holiday park set in four acres
- Wine châteaux, Eymet and Marmande all within 20 minutes’ drive
- Modern caravans; swimming pool; restaurant serving local dishes
Liking the sound of walks through sunflower fields, wine-tasting sorties and sampling traditional cuisine? You’ve hit the jackpot with a stay at Parc St. Vincent, a relaxed, family-friendly site deep in Lot-et-Garonne countryside, surrounded by the vineyards of the Périgord and Bordeaux wine regions – and with its own restaurant serving the traditional cuisine of south-west France.
Set in four acres of peaceful farmland, quality accommodation at this leafy rural spot is in modern and comfortable static caravans sleeping up to six people in twin or double rooms. Each unit has a well-equipped kitchen corner, a spacious living/dining area and ensuite bathrooms. All come with air conditioning, storage space and private decking with picnic tables for family meals under the sun.
And on days when you’re not browsing the local market at Lévignac-de-Guyenne (five minutes’ drive) or touring vineyards, take a dip in the outdoor swimming pool, enjoy a snooze on the waterside deck or settle on the terrace of Restaurant St Vincent for a thoroughly delicious supper showcasing fresh local produce.

Local attractions
How to immerse yourself in ‘la vrai’ France? Let’s start with those aforementioned sunflowers. During June and July, Parc St Vincent is surrounded by fields of them all standing in serried ranks – they make an Insta-worthy backdrop for your morning stroll to the boulangerie in Levignac (25 minutes’ walk) for your morning pastries and baguettes.
Sample regional wines on tours and tastings of local vineyards including hillside Château Carbonneau (half an hour’s drive), known for its biodynamic wines, or visit the Maison des Vins (10 minutes) to acquaint yourselves with produce from 25 wineries and châteaux in the Côtes de Duras region. Book ahead for tours of the Domaine de Laplace (15 minutes), or rock up to the historic bastide town of Eymet (20 minutes) and taste local specialities including cassoulet and foie gras flavoured with truffles in auberges lining pretty Place des Arcades.
To immerse yourself in the history and culture of south-west France, wander the Vieille Ville in pretty Bergerac (45 minutes), awash with soft stone, half-timbered cottages, or explore the ornate Notre-Dame church, complete with a peaceful cloister and formal parterre gardens, in medieval Marmande (20 minutes).
