The closeness to the autoroute - 10 minutes.

Lots of pitches that can accomodate a large twin axled caravan

The tranquility of the site. In the evening you can only hear birdsong and ducks quacking - nothing else.

The updating of the sanitory block with big modern showers.

The late checking in times - better than last yearwhen it was 5pm at the earliest.

It is now not before 4pm which for us means an hour hanging around waiting for Reception to open whilst the fridge defrosts.

The snack bar only sells basic snacks like burgers, salads and chicken and chips.

This is a special place- the best campsite we’ve ever stayed on. There is a great choice of pitch, some on the bank of the river. Some emplacements are huge. All are peaceful and the general scenery is lovely. There is no road noise whatsoever.
Great to have the swimming pool as well as the river. We tended to use the pool in the morning and then go to the river beach in the afternoon. It was great to have this option. There is also a kayak/canoe hire right next to the site which we also really enjoyed and has a discount for campers.
The staff were amazing. So friendly and helpful. Excellent English spoken and the kids were well looked after.
Bar area was good and sold beer, chips, ice cream etc.
Location is good. Just 5-10 mins drive to motorway junction and the town of Soulliac with supermarkets and restaurants etc.
We will definitely come again- thank you so much to Isobelle and her amazing, hard working team.

Quiet environment, good river stretch for swimming, big pitches, plenty of trees for shade, friendly staff

Washing/toilet blocks a bit basic and one of them had problems with hot water which they were struggling to fix

Due to the renovation of the main sanitary building there was only one sanitary left

The fact that we had the whole site to ourselves!
Big, flat, grassy pitches right on the riverbank - with electric hookup if required. We were in a small camper van and could take our pick of the pitches.
We think it was because the season hasn’t started yet but the advertised additional services (snack bar, pool, ordering bread) were not available, but that was fine for us. There is a big supermarket about 10 minutes drive away to stock up. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet of this lovely site and spent 4 happy days watching the birds, fish and listening to the frogs. It is a half an hour drive to popular places of interest.
Clean, hot showers included in the reasonable pitch fee.
We loved it.
