  • Riverside site in the Doller valley near the village of Masevaux
  • A 25-minute drive to Thann, southern gateway of the Alsace Wine Route
  • Small shop on site; within walking distance of a supermarket
As one should be able to see from the pictures, this is a stunning holiday spot surrounded by wooded slopes and winding waterways. Set in the scenic Doller valley, it's primed for outdoor activities, from hiking, cycling and mountain biking on the lakeshores and around the foothills of the Ballon d'Alsace and High Bers mountains to climbing, paragliding and ziplining from elevated spots around the local area. The site is right next to the river for long, lazy afternoons of fishing and swimming. There's pétanque and ping pong for leisure on site, along with an outdoor play area and plenty of grassy space; bikes can be hired for a nominal fee. In summer, you can get stuck in to the various activities that run in the village, and tap your toes to live music on site once a week. On-site foodie facilities include a small grocery shop stocked with essentials, as well as a snack bar serving quick bites and drinks during the school holidays. For when you wish to seek sustenance off site, eighth-century Masevaux village a short wander away has a supermarket, a bakery and several little independent delis, eateries and other shops. There's also a market on Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the year and a monthly farmers' market from May to September.

  • The site caters for families (immediate members) and couples only - bookings from all other forms of groups are not accepted.
  • Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
  • A cable measuring at least 15 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.
  • The charging of electric vehicles is not permitted on site.

Liked Very nice atmosphere. Good location for exploring the area by bike.

Disliked A bit of noise into the night from road traffic - big trucks thundering past. We were next to the river but there was a fence so couldn't really see it.

Liked Well maintained grass pitches. Very even ground and clean and well maintained toilet block. We only stayed one night as we were travelling through.

Disliked The glass ceiling in the toilets means you can see the cubicle next to you and vice versa in the reflection!😂

Disliked Nous sommes arrivés le jour de l'ascension juste après 12h (check in 12h à 19h selon information reçu se Pitch Up) et on nous acceuil on disant que nous étions en retard et que nous aurions dû lire l'email que nous avons reçu disons que le checkin était jusquà 12h le jour de l'ascension et qu'il fallait revenir à 15h. Nous avons quand même recu un badge pour rentrer dans le camping, mais un tel acceuil n'est pas acceptable, surtout sans vérifier si Pitchup avait bien transmis cet information (qui n'était pas le cas, et il parait que nous étions pas les seuls)

Liked A nice site. With good customer service, the staff all speak perfect English we would come back again.
The shower and washroom building was always spotless. Every pitch was worth having although a very open site. Not much privacy.

Local attractions

The lands around the Doller valley abound with outdoor activity options – so many, in fact, that it’s unlikely you’ll manage to fit them all in. Top pursuits among both longstanding locals and visitors to these parts include hiking, cycling and mountain biking along the lake shores and across the mountains, and river fishing for carp, catfish and pike in the Doller and its tributaries. Golf is available over in Rougemont-le-Château, and braver sorts can tackle the slightly more adrenaline-inducing pursuits of climbing, paragliding and ziplining at Ballon d'Alsace mountain, 15 kilometres away. The site is conveniently placed for days out in Switzerland and Germany, whose borders both lie within 40 minutes’ drive, and the city-based attractions of Belfort and Mulhouse are a speedy 30 minutes’ drive away. For wine-themed expeditions, the southern gateway of the Alsace Wine Route lies in Thann, 25 minutes’ drive from Camping de Masevaux; visit the town’s museum before embarking on days of tasty tastings.
