  • Spacious site a short drive from Eryri/Snowdonia National Park
  • Within easy reach of beaches, watersports and a mountain railway
  • Barbecues welcome and several supermarkets within easy reach
Seeking a sojourn within easy reach of the smashingly spectacular Eryri/Snowdonia National Park? Close to several splendid beaches and within easy reach by car or bike from several towns for foodie spots and cosy pubs? Treborth Hall Farm Caravan Site should, then, tick off a fair few of your Welsh holiday boxes. This peaceful walled park is a 20-minute walk from the Anglesey Isle town of Menai Bridge, home to several traditional pubs and other eateries for off-site sips and scoffs. You can be in Bangor on your bike in 15 minutes too, or hop in the car and be there in less than 10; highly beau Beaumaris is bikeable too – reach it in a little over half an hour on two wheels, or be there in half the time on four. When it comes to stuff for kids to do, they’ve got reams of room to roam freely around, plus a play area too should they require fun structures to clamber on; for a spot of gentle grownup activity, there's a public footpath just outside that forms a loop connecting to the Wales Coast Path, which in turn provides access to Treborth Botanic Garden. For food on site you’re more than welcome to get a barbecue going – several supermarkets are within easy reach around the nearby towns for all your sizzling supplies, and there are also lots of pubs, restaurants and takeaways too. Among the on-site amenities are toilets and two shower blocks with coin-operated showers with plenty of piping-hot water.

Electric hardstanding pitch

Liked I’ve just arrived home after a couple of nights stay at Treborth Hall Farm Caravan site (Bangor) in my campervan. Never having stayed there before, one is never quite sure what to expect – however I was very pleasantly surprised. It is a family concern, which for me is a definite upgrade from using some of the Camping clubs who are unfortunately starting to rip off their members with higher prices on top of the membership fees.

One thing that struck me at Treborth was just how friendly all the people, Delilah, John and their other relatives were; there was a lot of laughter which is always infectious and good to hear as setting the tone for the whole experience. When I grimaced slightly at the thought of having to use chocks on an uneven pitch, which I always find a bit of a fiddle - no problem, I was switched to a perfectly flat area (albeit conveniently adjacent to some delightful blue bins) but as I was only there ostensibly to see my daughter, I was not after views so that was perfectly fine!).

The site at Treborth is nicely laid out, having utilised what presumably was a walled kitchen garden years ago for some of the permanent vans, and all the pitches are generous. It seems as if a lot of family members are there busily involved in developing the place – I was promised more hard standings next season, which considering how wet it has been, is a very sensible addition. One guy got his car stuck on the camping field and ended up churning it up into a real quagmire and needed to be pulled out – the ‘cavalry’ arrived very quickly & sorted him without any trouble. All done very pleasantly & with no fuss.

The facilities of shower/loo blocks are small at present but appear to be adequate and clean. There is a large dog field which is good for any dog to have an energetic run around in, either after having been stuck in the van for hours travelling there or indeed because of some of the Welsh downpours! Not that the poor weather was limited to the Bangor area I gather.

Overall I anticipate being back for a return visit next season, hoping that the weather is rather warmer than late October proved to be. As one of my daughters lectures at the University, I shall persuade her to join me with her tent – all very convenient.

Partly down to the disgusting weather & it being a flying visit, I failed to explore the walk to the Botanic Gardens but that will be on my list of to dos next year. Family Wilson, I expect you to order some nice warm sunshine for me in 2026, please. Thank you. Deborah x

Disliked The Welsh weather on this occasion!!

Electric hardstanding pitch

Liked Booked 2 pitches, Staying for 2 nights in our campervan, with another couple and our total 4 dogs. Great communication beforehand, as pitches stated 6 metres and our van is 7, but got sent pictures with similar vans saying it would fit but there is a slight slope so up to us if we were happy with that, but really appreciated the heads up. Very peaceful site, showers and toilet block spotless.
Walking distance via path to menei bridge and some good pubs for food and bus stop right outside the campsite into bangor which was very handy with our elderly dog.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Handy for Menai Bridge and a stop-off before Anglesey. Could book one night just before turning up. Nice staff.

Disliked Basic site, bit weird with the amount of empty caravans filling the site, gave it a ghost town feeling. Toilets nearest grass elec pitches work well but need upgrading. Stayed one night as a stop off and wouldn’t want to stay longer.

From the manager: Owner’s response:
Thank you for your feedback — we do appreciate you taking the time to share it.

We’re a small holiday park with over 50 seasonal caravans on site, and our photos on Pitchup clearly show the layout and style of the park, so guests know exactly what to expect before booking. At this time of year (end of season), some seasonal caravans are empty during the week, which can make the park feel quieter than usual.

We’ve never had this issue before — most of our guests actually love the peace and quiet the park offers. Our grass pitches are generally flat, and we’ve not received complaints about the footpaths previously, but we’ll still take your comments on board.

We’re pleased you found our staff friendly and the location convenient for Menai Bridge and Anglesey.
