A friendly, neat spot with great, modern ablutions. The on-site café gets top marks for food. Owners and staff are highly praised for helpfulness. Fishing lakes are well-stocked. Grass pitches can get a bit soggy in rain. Good access to local sights.

Liked Lovely owners really friendly quiet site food was lovely aswell our 4 dogs loved it as well there is a dog field for hire 5 minutes away thanks guys we will be back 😀

Liked Me and my Husband stayed here for 2 nights. The campsite was beautiful. We were greeted by Dan, who gave us a choice of where we could pitch for our stay. We chose a nice corner plot with room for our awning. We did need our levelling ramps but that wasnt any issue.

The site was clean and well maintained, with clean toilets and facilities. What we didn't know about, was the full English breakfasts that were available! What a surprise treat! They were absolutely beautiful and reasonably priced too.

For £60 for 2 nights, we think this place is a hidden gem and we will definitely be returning.

Liked What a lovely site. Clean and tidy, the family who run it have only owned it for 3 months but are doing an amazing job. Showers and toilets clean, the breakfast was amazing and the lakes are well stocked. Nothing is too much for Dan and his partner. It's a real family affair. Location is also great

From the manager: This traveller didn’t not read the site description when booked, we do not advertise that we have a shop on the grounds. Although we did help him out with some washing up liquid which he needed from the shop to help where we can.
Also Borrowed and never returned (STOLEN) glassware
Disabled toilet key again never returned after us asking for it back and advising him we only had 1 key. We now have to get a locksmith out to get new barrels.
Again shower were cleaned in the morning and deep cleaned at the end of the night.
This review is unacceptable as is his actions on site!

Hilltop Hawarden Old Castle (10 minutes’ drive) played an important role in medieval border skirmishes and is sometimes open on summer weekends. Also worth a peek is Gladstone’s Library (five minutes), neo-Gothic reading rooms founded in 1898 and set in formal gardens. Cultured Chester (15 minutes) is a walled Roman city packed with history museums, galleries, shops and traditional half-timbered pubs.
