  • Dog-friendly site on a working farm in Rhos on Sea
  • A 25-minute walk from the beach and a 10-minute drive from Llandudno
  • Surrounded by country walks and a short walk from pubs and a shop
Country walks, pub lunches and buckets full of beach trips… to list out every single thing you have to look forward to at Dinarth Hall Caravan and Camping would take some time, as this North Wales site is very conveniently based in the town of Rhos on Sea, 10 minutes’ drive from Llandudno and five minutes’ drive away from Colwyn Bay Beach. If you’re very much a countryside sort of person, it’ll be nice news that the site is on a working farm setting surrounded by fields and country walks with horses frequently passing by the site. There are just basic facilities, including toilets, showers, a washing-up area and a washing machine and dryer for laundry. There’s a lovely country pub just half an hour’s walk away for your supper or an American diner-style restaurant 10 minutes’ walk away in the other direction. If you’d rather sort yourself out, have a wander up the hill to the small shop 10 minutes’ walk away. The bus, which stops at the end of the road, comes just over every 10 minutes if you feeling like abandoning the car for the weekend. Not that you’ll need it that much if you’ve got beach days at the top of your agenda, because it’s only a 25-minute walk to Rhos on Sea beach and Colwyn Bay Beach is also within walking distance. If you’re driving to Colwyn Bay, there’s plenty of parking (and lots of ice cream vans to go with that). You may want to shift your watersports gear or bicycles down there, as there’s a cycling path along the front and often great conditions for some water activities.

Liked: Loved everything about this site. The views are stunning. Even though there were many campers, it was still peaceful & relaxing. It's a working farm so it was a pleasure to see loads of baby cows & to meet the farm dogs Rose, Meg & Mally. For me this made the stay extra special. Staff are really friendly and helpful, especially Zoe, for which nothing was too much trouble and has good knowledge of the farm if you're interested. A real asset. The showers are lovely and warm and the loos are cleaned regularly. Bearing in mind it is a working farm, it's advisable to take wellies should it rain. Nearest shop and chippy is a few mins by car or about a 20 min walk. If you like walking you can leave your car at the site & walk along promenade to Colwyn Bay, the views are well worth it. Thankyou dinarth, for making a much needed weekend away stress free and relaxing.

Disliked: I disliked absolutely nothing.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: Love Dinarth farm as it’s a working farm with lots of cows and horses etc yet it is so peaceful at night. Only 20 minutes from Llandudno and the Great Orme

Disliked: Nothing to dislike as such …. Although it is a trek to the showers but again I appreciate it’s a working farm and the owners are utilising existing buildings

Electric optional hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Good location, friendly service
Large open pitches with metered EHU.
On a working farm
Bus to Llandudno at the end of the road.
We were told by the office to estimate £3-5 a day on the electric meter but we only put £1 on a day and it was fine,

Disliked: Showers were opposite end of the farmyard and not near the toilets
Had the farm dogs wondering around pitches at night or first thing in the morning

Liked: The site is in easy reach of lots of different places. We hopped on the bus just outside the site and spent the day in Llandudno.
Toilets are dated but clean.

Disliked: The showers are a distance from the camping pitches.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: Basic amenities but what isn't on site can be found close by. Walking distance to Rhos on sea and bus ride to Llandudno

Disliked: Non electric pitches not marked out so you just find a space and set up, can be difficult to get around the field if busy.

Local attractions

Llandudno (10 minutes’ drive) is a cracking spot for a good wander, with shops, a pier, a promenade and a beach. You may spot a few goats wandering around the edge of town; they’ll have lost their way from Great Orme (20 minutes) just past Llandudno. The green limestone slopes of the Great Orme are not just for the goats, of course, with a tramway and a cable car providing access to the fab views from the 209-metre slope, a café or a playground. Back in Llandudno, get picked up by one of the open-top buses which run in summer from Llandudno Pier. They head over to stunning Conwy (10 minutes’ drive), past the spectacular 13th-century Conwy Castle, cobbled streets, bakeries and the cobbled streets typical of such a traditional Welsh port town.
