For a break with easy access to the West Wales coast, check out Cwmtydu Caravan Site Certificated Location. This quiet little site is available to Caravan and Motorhome Club members only and only 25 minutes’ walk away from Cwmtydu beach. This is a peaceful area near Nanternis, only 10 minutes’ drive away from the holiday town of New Quay and the beaches of Cardigan Bay. The site is on an eight-acre coastal smallholding. From here, there are footpaths to smugglers’ beaches, sandy coves, wild rocky inlets and grassy headlands with wildflowers. The flat grassy pitches are within walking distance of sea views and lots of nature and open countryside. The Ceredigion Coastal Path is one mile from the site too, with beaches, ancient woodlands, birdwatching spots and even good areas for dolphin or seal watching. Along the local coast, there are heaps of opportunities for activities within walking or driving distance – perhaps a bracing swim or some sea kayaking will be tempting. There are two pubs in Llangrannog, 15 minutes’ drive away from the site, and stunning fish and chips, Sunday roasts and other varied menus in New Quay. From New Quay, you could take a dolphin-spotting cruise around the bay or stay on dry land to polish off an ice cream on the harbour wall.
