No problem: for getting out and about, guests can catch a bus from right outside the park entrance, or set out on foot on pretty country lanes that run from the site to the Ceredigion coastal path.

Loved every minute of our stay here! 4 of us in 2 tents for 4 nights. Everything was fantastic, the toilets on site were always clean and always had toilet paper (bonus!) The showers were always clean and these were free no need for a 20p in a box, which meant after a day at the beach and 4 people with long hair we didn't have to worry about having a quick shower or spending a fortune. Washing up facility on site as well!

And what can I say about the owner, absolutely wonderful human being! Nothing was too much for her, it was always 'if you need anything drop me a text' and when ever we did we got a fairy swift reply being as helpful as possible! And every time we saw her she had a smile on her face and always up for a chat and a laugh!

    What a campsite!

We had a wonderful stay from start to finish. The owners were there to greet us at the gate when we arrived and directed us to the tent field and said we could pitch where it suited us. We were travelling with our two daughters but also had other friends joining us in other tents so this made it super easy for us to pitch in a circle. The site itself was immaculate, with a handy washing up area, large bins for disposing waste and lovely clean, warm toilets and showers. Fire pits are available to hire for a very good price and wood is also available. The site is in an excellent spot, just a minute or two drive from Cardigan and plenty of shops to stock up on. Despite being close to a town and main road, the site was calm and peaceful. There are several beaches within easy driving distance too. We all loved it so much that we rebooked the day we came home. Highly recommended.

This site is a gem of a find! The facilities are immaculately clean and the sunset views are just stunning.
Owners are exceptionally helpful with advice on getting out and about. The bus stop is immediately outside the campsite entrance and you can get everywhere, from Aberporth beach to New Quay.
Cardigan is a lovely little town which can be reached in about a 15 min walk (the road is quite busy) Highly recommended a visit to Pizzatipi. Delicious freshly made pizzas on the riverside under a huge canvas with a fire pit to keep you warm.
Back to the campsite.. if it gets a little chilly, you can hire a fire pit and sit under the stars. (Even comes stocked up with plenty of wood)
    We’ll definitely be back soon!

Local attractions

The ancient market town of Cardigan is only a mile and a half from the park (the bus in stops right outside the entrance) and has good shopping, drinking and eating as well as a cinema, theatre and swimming pool. It’s a place with a lengthy history too: check out Cardigan Castle, St Dogmael's Abbey, and the Guildhall building, which now houses the town’s market.

Beach buffs rejoice: a 10-minute drive will take you to the sands of Mwnt and Aberporth, and a few minutes further away you’ll find masses more of the golden stuff at Poppit, Tresaith, Newport and Penbryn (all these can also be reached by bus too).

In addition to the thousands of rare sea birds to be found on this stretch of coast, animal fans can spot Atlantic grey seals and bottle-nosed dolphins in Cardigan Bay, visit the Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park, or flit amongst the butterflies at the Felinwynt Rainforest Centre.

The equestrian-inclined will enjoy horsing around at Cardigan's Barley Saturday (end of April), the Agricultural Show (July), and nearby Aberaeron’s Festival of Welsh Ponies and Cobs (August). Autumn visitors can see the dramatic spectacle of salmon and sea trout leaping up the cascading waterfalls at Cenarth Falls.

A good range of golf courses, horse riding, river and sea fishing are on hand for athletic types, as well as kayaking and canoeing in the pretty Cilgerran Gorge.

For adventure seekers, this area is renowned for coasteering (high impact climbing, scrambling, canyoning, swimming, jumping and diving along the rocky coastline); alternatively, the Ceredigion coastal path is the place for a more relaxed meander past coves and beaches, via further wildlife and birdwatching.
