What customers say
Generally clean, well-located campsite near Aberystwyth. Hot showers appreciated, town access convenient but steep hill back up. Staff friendly, site peaceful for some. Others mention basic facilities, unclear signage, noise and road access concerns. Unisex showers noted.

Very good value and spotlessly clean site.
Electric grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked Site was spotlessly clean. Pitch was a nice size. Toilets and showers were clean.Would recommend to others and would stay again.
Disliked No reception/ someone to tell you where to go etc. Did say on email find a pitch but would have prefered to meet and greet. No signs indicating mens/ womens toilets or showers or where to find fresh water taps.

Lovely site perfect for walking into Aberystwyth
Electric grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked At first was alittle confused as to where to park but having read reviews stating no staff around and that you just park up on pitches reserved for pitch up.com as long as nobody had left item keeping there pitch occupied everything else was superb 👌 toilets clean, showers clean, do be aware it’s men & women combined 🤷♀️just like being in France 🇫🇷 some people may not like that idea but we’re used to the French system! A nice walk into Aberystwyth good stretch of the legs 5.1/2 mile there so be prepared for between 11 & 12 ml our b/collie loved it, about 20 or 30 yards down the road then into the forest across to stretch’s of north shore you’ll find a turn style which takes you through a couple of fields to Aberystwyth golf club and straight into town, well sign posted. We booked for 3 nights but left a day early because the weather was turning so rather than stay in the rain decided to go and spend a couple of nights at Forest of Dean we weren’t disappointed. Thanks for a lovely few days 👍Dave & Carolyn

We had a great time and would definitely stay again
Electric grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked We found all of the facilities in excellent condition. The site was easy to find and was central for trips we had organised.
Disliked Several people on the site had dogs and when walking them they were allowing their dogs to foul in the grass. When I asked one gentleman if he was going to pick it up, he told me to mind my own business. Maybe more and larger signage would be an idea.

Good site close to town, quiet at night, tidy facilities.
Electric grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked Great pitch with shade, great showers.
Good view, helpful staff
Disliked Some quite loud spoken people and demented barking dogs from time to time.

Not worth the money
Electric grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked Not alot
Disliked The lack of anybody/ information about local area. The porta cabins for toilets and showers. The notices insisting that pitch up tourers were not entitled to site WiFi and use of the swimming pool, even at an extra cost. The price for a bit of gravel and strip of grass. The walk to bus stop down a very fast, pavement less narrow lane boasting 12 fatalities so far this year.

Lovely site and clean, quiet environment . Would stay again
Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Bathroom and shower facilities very clean and modern.
Easy to hook up electrics
Ease to get into Aberwystwyth town in about eight minutes drive or less.
Disliked Was slightly confusing to figure out where to pitch up the tent but figure it out after viewing the site map more .

Convenience for local stores and buses. Convenience for Aberystwyth itself. Great pitches.…
Electric grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked Convenience for local stores and buses.
Convenience for Aberystwyth itself.
Great pitches.
Disliked Though they must get it a lot, local stores and buses are reached by a short stretch of fairly busy road without pavement i.e. not ideal for opting to be a pedestrian.
Sign-posting for Pitch Up pitches isnt intuitive i.e. not clear/close on arrival to site e.g. you have to drive around on site and then look in right direction to see them.

If I need a campsite in the area I would pick this one.
Electric grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked Just what I needed.
I was given a pitch next to my friend. Campsite was quiet and toilets and showers were clean and functioned very well.
I was attending the international ceramics festival so really have very little time on the site other than sleeping and breakfast. But was just what I needed.
Disliked Nothing really.

Give it a miss, unless you need an over nighter.
Electric grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked Clean quite mostly. Does what it says on tin, no more no less.
Disliked Main road next to site, no reception. Could do with more signage at gate telling travellers, to go to pitch up signs in gravel standing. Also more fresh water points . Noticed travlers having to block road to fill up . Also nothing at site scenic wise. Showers and loos are Porto houses. One major problem is they are mixed use, so my wife wouldn’t use them. Lastly lots of caravans sited there with silly looking gardens, etc. the weekender parties. Some extremely scruffy looking ones. Sorry but that’s what we saw. Won’t go again .
