  • Farm site with sea views, five minutes' drive from Aberporth
  • Cardigan, Llangrannog beach and Cenarth Falls within 15 mins' drive
  • Simple and quiet pitches 10 miles from the 2026 National Eisteddfod
Heading west in search of sea views? Let your journey take you all the way to Cwm Camping, a quiet farm site where you’ll be able to look out over Cardigan Bay from the simple grass pitches. Just over a mile inland from Aberporth, this is a lovely spot for a relaxed break – being a little way back from the coast it’s slightly sheltered from coastal breezes while still having those wonderful views over the waves. And as it’s west facing you can often expect to have a spectacular seaside sunset as the backdrop to your evening barbecue. As it’s a pop-up site the facilities here are on the simple side, consisting of just a portable toilet and a shower. There are no dedicated play areas for the kids but families are very welcome and should find plenty of space to play games and kick a ball about. In such a gorgeous location you may find that staring out to see takes up a fair amount of your time – but it’s worth dragging yourselves away if you can, as this site is very well set for all sorts of outings along the Ceredigion coast. The beaches at Aberporth, Tresaith and Penbryn are all within a short drive and it’s a 10-minute drive to Cardigan for independent shops and restaurants, plus a historic castle and wildlife-spotting boat trips. The location of the 2026 National Eisteddfod is about 10 miles away too.

Local attractions

Once you’ve seen the sea from your pitch, no doubt you’ll be keen to get a bit closer – perhaps with some time on the beach in places like Aberporth (five minutes’ drive), Tresaith (five minutes), Llangrannog (15 minutes) or Poppit Sands (20 minutes). Can’t decide? Go for a walk along the Ceredigion Coast Path instead and watch the seaside scenery change as you go along. You’ll probably pop in to Cardigan (10 minutes) at some point for supplies, but it’s a good idea to plan a bit more time there to allow you to visit the castle, wander along the riverbank and visit the Welsh Wildlife Centre. Boat trips also leave from nearby St Dogmaels (15 minutes) to take guests out in search of the area’s resident dolphins. It’s the coast that often captures visitors’ attention, but there’s plenty to see inland too – perhaps you’d like to see the big machines at Internal Fire Museum of Power (five minutes), take a waterside walk at Cenarth Falls (15 minutes) or seek out ancient sights like Pentre Ifan Burial Chamber (half an hour).
