Motorhome pitch

  • Hardstanding motorhome pitches in the Trossachs Pier car park
  • On the banks of Loch Katrine with direct access to the Trossachs Trail
  • Loch cruises, cycle hire, a café, scenic tower and gift shop on site
You’ll be cruising over Loch Katrine in no time once you’ve parked up at Trossachs Pier in Stirlingshire. This historic setting by the banks of the loch is in one of the UK’s largest National Nature Reserves, the Great Trossachs Forest. The hardstanding pitches are in the Trossachs Pier car park at Loch Katrine, so going from your motorhome to inside a steamship only takes a short stroll. The passenger cruises depart at frequent intervals every day. Try to grab a spot on the Sir Walter Scott steamship, which has sailed on the loch since 1900. At Trossachs Pier, there are cycle hire facilities, a café, a scenic tower and a gift shop. Of course, you might want to explore wider Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park too, and handily, the site is on the 40-mile Trossachs Trail which is packed with stunning scenery and attractions including Ben A'an, Callander, Aberfoyle and Doune Castle. More hiking and cycling trails are easy to track down. There’s plenty to get busy with, so when you arrive back at base, it’s good to know you have a solid set of facilities to fall back on including access to toilets and showers (both are only available at an additional charge). The pitches are allocated across the car park.

Electric optional hardstanding motorhome pitch (XL)

Liked: Functional pitch with electric hook up for Motorhome. Small shop & cafe, amenities and WiFi.
We enjoyed a cruise on The Lady of the Lake (which was undertaken with only four passengers so very personal).
Staff extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the Loch and surrounding mountains.
Lovely views from the Watchtower.

Disliked: Access to a chemical waste disposal is our only suggestion for improvement.
