Whisky lovers, this one’s for you. Set in the scenic Isla Valley, Keith Caravan Park sits on the edge of the historic Moray town of Keith, gateway to Speyside’s Malt Whisky Trail. Strathisla Distillery is a five-minute drive away (or a 25-minute walk across town, for those who are thinking of taking part in a guided tasting). And if that’s not enough, Scotland’s ‘Malt Whisky Capital’ of Dufftown (20 minutes’ drive) is home to Glenfiddich and Balvenie distilleries, both open for touring and tastings. There’s lots more to do around here besides sampling and sipping wee drams. Awarded Scotland’s first ‘Scots Toun’ accolade for promoting regional culture, Keith is proud of hosting the world’s only kilt-making school at Keith Kilt and Textile Centre (five minutes’ walk). Other less niche amenities include pubs, eateries and shops, all within 15 minutes’ walk of the holiday park. Family-friendly circular strolls in Dunnyduff Wood (20 minutes) lead to the pretty Falls of Tarnash (25 minutes), and can be accessed directly from the pitches. The coast can be reached in about 25 minutes’ drive, and within that radius there are also multiple golf courses. Handily set just off the main A96 between Aberdeen and Inverness, a 40-minute drive from Elgin, the family-run site has modern facilities including a launderette, washing-up station and a modern facilities block with toilets, a shower and basins in individual cubicles.

Clean, well-serviced pitches, super friendly staff and spotless facilities. Close to town, but a bit pricey for the dryer. Hot water issue mentioned, but management's on it. Highly recommended, many keen to return!

Liked It was a caravan we stayed in.We got welcomed by the owner Graham. He was very pleasant, helpfull and offered us if we needed anything to call on him. The toilet/showers were very clean and the shower was in the same room as the toilet which made it very private.On the toilet doors, the said lines & quines, had a wee giggle as your used to seeing men’s & ladies.Yes we would go back again in the future.Many thanks, Angela & Fraser Dwenger.

Disliked Personally everything was there that you needed.Very clean facilities,place to wash dishes etc.Road leading in to caravan park was very tidy and grass was cut short.

Liked A perfect site for us, within walking distance of the town of Keith. Wonderful welcome from the Warden, the site is very well maintained with immaculate facilities. Each pitch has electric hook up & it's own water supply with it's own grey waste drain. Black waste facility good too.
Very quiet, peaceful night. Will definitely use when in this area.

All aboard the Keith and Dufftown Railway (15 minutes’ drive), a heritage line travelling 11 miles through lush forests, glens and fields of barley. Special events include Dram Tram weekends and vintage 1940s weekends. If you’re lucky, you might get to ride in a tartan-decked carriage. A National Trust for Scotland property, Leith Hall Garden and Estate (25 minutes) is an elegant country house from the mid-17th century; its colourful gardens have a fernery and a rockery, while its expansive parkland is home to badgers, kingfishers and teal ducks, as well as elusive otters and Scottish wildcats. The Craigfall Trail is a moderate hike leading to an observation point. Besides the lush and splendidly manicured golf course on its outskirts, Elgin (40 minutes) has the atmospheric remains of a 13th-century Gothic cathedral and, across Cooper Park and the River Lossie, the Moray Motor Museum, which displays Jaguars, Aston Martins and other vintage cars.
