- Quiet site by a historic carriage house at Broadford in West Limerick
- Broadford Arboretum five minutes’ drive; Limerick Greenway 10 minutes
- Large family-friendly camping field; pubs and shop five minutes’ drive
When it’s a peaceful West Limerick site you’re after – preferably one that’s family friendly with bags of space – TCS Camping might be the very spot for you. Set next to a historic carriage house on the edge of the sleepy village of Broadford, this farm site has just a handful of pitches in a spacious camping meadow surrounded by sheltering trees.
You’ll certainly get back to nature when camping here. Wake up to the sounds of birds chirping and the rustling of leaves in the wind, and take a stroll through the village to explore the neighbourhood. You can also set out into the Limerick countryside for a nature walk or bike ride – be sure to take the binoculars to see if you can spot goldfinches and wrens along the way.
At the end of a fun-filled and active day, relax by a cosy campfire, put a barbecue together and count the myriad of stars on clear nights. If you’re not keen on alfresco cooking, all you need to do is head into Broadford (five minutes’ drive) for delicious pizza from the takeaway or a pint or two in the local pubs. Other handy amenities include a small convenience store, plus a coffeeshop open on weekends.
