Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked The setting was lovely, with a map showing some routes for walking in our welcome back.

Disliked There was a sign up in the toilets saying they would be closed at 10pm for cleaning which seemed a strange time, and no indication how long for, would it be overnight we wondered? And then they weren’t cleaned at all,

Disappointing for the price £40 per night!

Fully-serviced grass touring pitch

Liked Location & availability

Disliked Showers were too hot and not adjustable. Nowhere to sit when getting dried.
No lighting over the wash up sinks.
None of the onsite extras were open (mid-June is off-peak). No staff available.
WiFi was intermittent at best.

Circle fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Space and general cleanliness. Very organised but flexible on pitch use due to limited occupancy. Great walks in grounds around old RAF base.

Disliked Hard standing pitches on old concrete runway difficult to use awnings etc. Facilities aside from camping all closed despite staying in June.

Will be coming back

Circle fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Beautiful park, surrounded by lovely walks, extensive grounds and cycling paths. It had a pub and pizza van but we didn't try them. The shop was good for a few bits we needed.

Disliked There are signs at the toilet/shower block saying 'no ball games' but it seems that kids are able to play ball games anywhere else, including right outside/beside our pitch. Don't book The Circle (literally a big concrete motorhome park) unless you want kids cycling round like Le Mans and using the space as an unofficial football pitch up till 10pm. One family with 5 kids turned up just before 10pm and the kids (including the 2-year-old) were still running around the Circle after midnight. To be fair, when we raised the issue, the manager very kindly offered us to move. The new pitch was fine until the kids opposite decided to adopt the empty pitch next to us as their personal football pitch!! It's a shame because it's a nice site and it has a playground for younger kids. PLEASE designate a specific place for football games.

Clean facilities, lots of space, safe for kids.…
