Bespoke Luna bell tents are the order of the day at Little Thornham Holidays – along with stunning views over Salisbury Plain. This peaceful site is part of a small farm in the Wiltshire countryside, half a mile from the A361 for a location that’s relatively easy to access but mercifully far away from traffic noise. Hot showers and composting toilet trailers are shared between every two bell tents, and in every tent, there's a USB phone-charging point. Cooks will be happy to find that there's also a kitchen trailer with a fridge and a washing-up sink with hot water. A firepit is provided with each tent (as well as a communal fire pit in the middle of the site should you want more company), and you're welcome to bring barbecues (although their use may have to be banned in very hot, dry weather). Wood is available to buy from the farm, along with a whole range of fresh produce including sausages and eggs from the farm. Other bits can be picked up from the shops in Melksham, 10 minutes' drive away. If you fancy a break from cooking, take a walk instead to one of the nearby pubs – there’s one 15 minutes away (with lovely food, a garden and a play area) or another 20 minutes away by the Kennet and Avon Canal. This is also the place for a good long waterside walk or a bit of fishing (just make sure to bring the relevant licence with you). There’s also plenty of open space for kids (and grownups too…) to play games in the field before mealtimes.

A fantastic, serene glamping spot with spotless facilities & lovely touches. Hosts are super friendly. Bell tents & cabins are comfy and kitted out. Animal lovers rave about the farm friends. Minor privacy issue & compost toilets noted, but most can't wait to come back.

Liked Brilliant communication and information; we were made to feel so welcome. They had balloons tied inside our yurt as they knew we were celebrating a birthday. Everything was clean and well looked after. Friendly hosts and a great site.

Liked Amazing location, it was beautiful. Everything was clean as can be. Toilet and shower was brilliant for camping.
The farm animals around was a highlight as an animal lover. Was sitting in the evening reading and got a visit from a chicken. The staff was friendly.

Liked We had a lovely stay and Amy and Sim were lovely.
Everything was well though to enjoy a relaxing time.
The kids loved to have the eggs from the chicken next to them!

Liked Everything! Lovely quiet site, everything you need for a camping weekend away! Lovely friendly hosts. Beautiful pub by the canal within walking distance.
Sausages and eggs for breakfast (bought from the farm) were fantastic.

Liked The whole site was beautiful so clean and peaceful the owner was so welcoming and was happy to show us the new wooden cabins and answered all our questions. Unfortunately I had to leave early the same day we checked in as my babysitter was ill but my hubby stayed and really enjoyed the peace. He said he slept well and the bed was really comfortable

Disliked The idea of the compost toilet takes a little getting used too but the shower/toilet was spotlessly clean

Liked The most beautiful stay.
So much thought has clearly gone into creating such an incredible glamping experience. Sitting outside the bell tent in the evening watching the goats with a fire burning was such a relaxing way to celebrate a birthday.
When we arrived we even had balloons put up in the bell tent without this being requested. Which made it that extra bit special.
Toilet and shower 10/10 for cleanliness and the hut with a fridge, stove, kettle and sink was very handy indeed.
Most definitely will be staying again!

Liked As soon as we arrived we got such a friendly welcome. I have a son with special needs and they were so kind and helpful the entire time of our visit. The facilities provided were more than expected. the communal kitchen was excellent. It was all immaculate. such beautiful views with lots of open space which was ideal
