Dirty and unhygienic
Electric grass pitch
Liked Nice big pitches. Fire pits available at £12 for a bag of logs which is reasonable.
Disliked Facilities were quite dirty and unhygienic. Even after they’d been ‘cleaned’ it left a lot to be desired and I’m not even sure they were cleaned every day. There was a cotton pad (used for removing makeup) in the shower in the soap holder for the whole 3 days we were there. Stains in the toilets still there next day. There are only 2 washbasins in the ladies and men’s washrooms, semi exposed to the elements with no privacy as they were located before you went in the door to the toilets. The sinks were also very high and not accessible for children. There are maybe half dozen toilets then a door to the shower section which has 3 shower cubicles and a communal changing area - but a lock on the inside of the door means that some people then lock it when they are using the shower (to get privacy), which effectively reduces the number of showers to one. No hooks to hang anything by sinks or by mirrors. Waste management was poor. There were 2 recycling bins labelled for glass, but all the others were just general recycling. But as there were no obvious refuse bins the recycling bins were full of rubbish. The bins at the front were full to overflowing and bins behind were empty but not accessible as they weren’t being rotated or managed. The Elsan point absolutely stinks too. The price for the pitches is fairly high, so I would expect a lot more in terms of cleanliness and more thoughtfully laid out facilities for that sort of money. There was no information point, no leaflets, no wifi, no visible personnel. Probably one of the worst sites I’ve stayed in over the last 12 years of camping

Great site, friendly staff, clean and definitely level pitches.
Electric grass pitch
Liked Size of pitches - ours turned out to be flat (deep joy) it is the first time we have not needed ramps.
The respected quiet times. The joy of kids able to play safely. (We do not have any) The toilets were clean.
The wonderful quietness of the site, yes you can hear the tanks sometimes and the trains, but that is life and the noise is faint.
Disliked The shower facility. I am sorry communal idea is a big no no. I did not shower even though I was desperate to do so.

The facilities let it down, big time. Not for us again.
Electric grass pitch
Liked -Good size pitches, ours was flat.
-Electric hook up was stable and not far from the pitch
-Water points were not too far from the pitch
-Good location for us, central for Weymouth, Swanage, Bournemouth etc
Disliked -The showers are the worst we've ever experience camping. First of all, there are 3x shower cubicles, with a communal changing/ drying area. However there is a lock on the door to all of this. So at times, 1 shower would be in use, but the other 2 blocked off from access. However, once you got into a shower, it was pot luck whether it would be freezing cold, or scalding hot, at times changing between the two during the shower multiple times. Really, really unpleasant for me, as a grown man, upsetting for my 5 year old son. My partner informed me the ladies was the same.
-The toilets were never that clean, which was disappointing.
-Bad smell from the ELSAN point, which is next to the toilet/ shower and washing up block.
-Water pressure in washing up area really poor, no temp control and again not the cleanest.

Great location, not so great showers.
Electric grass pitch
Liked Great location, check in was quick and easy and staff were friendly. Our pitch was level and quiet. Within short drive of beaches and towns. Nice for a short stay and good price. They have a fresh pizza van on certain nights which was a great option for dinner.
Disliked The shower block was dirty and not suitable for the size of the campsite. There is a shower room with 3 shower cubicles inside but the room had a lock and because the cubicles were just a shower and curtain with no room to change people would go in the room by themselves and lock the door. Every time I would go to see if I could shower there would be one person blocking off all 3 showers with people queuing outside. Had to wait about an hour until I could shower.
The elsan point was just a regular toilet outside, we saw a few people emptying their chemical waste and it kept blocking the toilet which inevitably happened when we tried too.
