What customers say
Spacious, friendly site, great views near Swanage Railway. Clean, basic facilities (compost loos, hot showers), handy food shack. Staff are welcoming. Freedom with pitches, late check-out a plus. Mostly peaceful, minor noise noted.

Lovely site basic good facilities - a fair price and great views!
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked The site was perfect for our train enthusiast children. Facilities are basic but clean - infact I saw the toilets be cleaned 3 times whilst I was there.
Disliked We booked because the site is advertised as for families and couples and the website and the gate clearly states no noise after 10pm. The first night this was adhered to and was very peaceful - However on the second a group came back to site around 11pm being very loud and disruptive, driving round shouting and whistling which woke up my children. There needs to be more to enforce this as it was the only thing to slightly spoil a lovely camping trip!
There is very little signal/wifi but we enjoyed this!

From the manager: This is very hard to do as they all booked on Pitchup individually and then joined together as a group! I did go over and tell him to be quiet which they did do. I’m sorry you were disturbed.
People come back late during carnival especially on firework night I’m afraid.

Very peaceful, lovely camp near Corfe
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Really lovely atmosphere, very peaceful and not overcrowded camping. The Snack Shack is super useful to have and our kids loved the general setup of the camp. Showers were great, toilet is a bit of a weak spot. Location is great to reach train or go around the area by car. The passing steam train at the bottom is a fantastic bonus.

Fabulous
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Had a lovely couple of nights and chose this site due to it overlooking the Swanage Heritage Steam railway so enthusiastically waved to every train! Good basic facilities which were kept clean and well stocked throughout my stay. Friendly staff. Little cafe which also featured a pop up Jamacian BBQ which was delicious. Location great for Corfe Castle, big hikes and Swanage. I caught the train to Corfe Castle and then walked back. Highly recommend.

Quiet and relaxing within easy reach of plenty to do and see.
Non-electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked A lovely large undulating quiet field with freedom to pitch wherever you like.
Right next to Swanage railway with Harmans Cross station across the road.
Water points and composting toilets and a basic shower block.
An onsite food shack serving hot breakfast and evening snacks is nice.
Disliked The only criticism is a lack of a water point adjacent to the Elsan point to allow easy swilling out of motorhome/caravan toilet cassettes.

From the manager: There is a tap 2 1/2 m from the Elsan point with a hose that is long enough to reach the point for swilling . I will put a sign next to it so it’s more obvious.
