What customers say
Spectacular Swanage Bay views, peaceful vibe. Great location near town & coastal paths. Friendly staff, clean, warm showers are highlights. Hilly terrain & no freezer blocks noted. Some wish for more frequent loo cleaning & hot wash-up water.

Liked The welcome on arrival was very friendly. We could pitch up wherever we wanted, so could maximise the spectacular sea views. The campsite was very quiet & peaceful. The toilets were nice & the showers were hot. The toilets were cleaned every morning whilst we were there. I would definitely recommend this campsite.

Great location and reception, small improvements would make difference
Non-electric grass tent pitch (overflow, sloping)
Liked The view from the campsite was superb and the location is great for Swanage.
The showers were always warm which we’ve not always had at bigger campsites. I think the numbers were just right too, never had to queue to use them.
The lady on reception was also really really helpful and friendly.
Disliked There was nowhere to freeze ice blocks which is important to us when camping and the website stated that there was. The lady on reception was really helpful with this, but it’s the one thing that might stop us going back as this is an important facility to us.
Sometimes the toilet roll was running low, we informed the site but it took a while for this to be replaced.

Such a tranquil spot over the sea
Non-electric grass tent pitch (overflow, sloping)
Liked Good size pitches.
Views. Peaceful site. Walk to the beach. Gorgeous walks from the campsite. View of the Castle and rolling hills. Enjoyed hearing the steam train occasionally too.
Clean toilets and showers- New this year. Cleaned every morning. Site was checked each morning. Reception staff were lovely.
Access to laundrette. Washing up facilities undercover with cold water-clean and accessible.
Basic site but we loved sites like this.
No electricity or WiFi but good 5g so teenagers were happy.
So peaceful here.
Hedges, trees and brushes to tuck in if weather looks windy or wet.
Disliked We knew before we came but no where for freezer blocks which we managed fine by buying bags of ice in town.

Great location close to town with stunning views and good facilities
Non-electric grass tent pitch (overflow, sloping)
Liked Nice welcome on arrival. Bathroom facilities were close by and brand new and kept very clean. Local coastal walks are excellent and it’s only a 15 minute walk into Swanage and it’s great pubs bars and restaurants. The campsite is quite hilly and you need a mallet and strong pegs to secure your tent. The views of the town, sea and hills are spectacular. We will definitely visit again soon.

Quiet site with fabulous views.
Non-electric grass tent pitch (overflow, sloping)
Liked The views were fabulous if you pitched up in the right place.
Very peaceful and could use the facilities on the site if you wanted too which was a bonus.
The showers were clean and hot.
Disliked The toilets weren’t cleaned that often and the hand towels and toilet rolls needed re stocking.
Could maybe have had another portaloo and washing up area at the top of the field for people staying up that end as it was a mission right down the field and back up.
I had to ring a few numbers on arrival as the reception was closed and the number on the door was unavailable.
It wasn’t made clear in the email about the pitch as it stated only pitch up in your allocated area however after driving around for 10 minutes we couldn’t find it.
This wasn’t the case. The kind lady explained you can actually pitch up anywhere in the field. 🤦♀️
