Ever wanted to pitch up near Paignton, or better yet, in a spot which has sea views and sits a few minutes' walk away from a long sandy beach? Behold Beverley Park, a site with spectacular scenery less than a mile from the rockpools of the sandy Broadsands beach. When it comes to relaxation, you might want to start at one of the park's two heated outdoor pools, then read the papers at the poolside café. Another option is to visit the sauna, steam room and hot tub, and then have steak or fish and chips (or both) along with a cocktail or a glass of wine (or both) at the Jetty Bar and Terrace. If you feel more energetic and ambitious, get crazily competitive at crazy golf or fit in a workout at the gym. There are plenty of family-friendly facilities at Beverley Park including outdoor adventure playgrounds, kids' clubs, paddling pools, soft play, family amusements and an indoor playroom. The daytime activity programme also has a variety of activities like water zorbing and beach rambles. More? There is also the Catch takeaway and Starlight bar for refreshments and a shop for those who decide to self-cater. Family bathrooms are also among the facilities.

Liked: Spectacular views from pitch , very spacious ,staff friendly , The Jetty restaurant food was amazing we ended up eating every night there it was that good. Pool outside was lovely temperature nice size too. Ideal location to visit other places. We will return again for sure.

Disliked: Not really as dislike but a recommendation only one person serving at bar but 2 dealing with issuing bingo tickets every night which thought was unfair as queue was quiet big , we did go upstairs but they serving people eating food too but I suppose as it gets busy in year I hope it will be better.

Fully-serviced gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: It is a very clean and tidy site, the wardens and all the staff were friendly and helpful. It had lovely views of the sea and bays of Torbay.

Disliked: The showers were very well renovated but there was no where to put your soap or shampoos while showering, and nothing to stop anything you may drop while showering going in to the next cubicle, a bit awkward.

Liked: Nice campsite, great view. Good location for splashdown and town centre

The holiday park had great facilities, especially the outside heated pool. Catered for all ages including a gym.

Disliked: Weather was bad one night, wasn’t sure the tent was going to survive (but of course, that was not the holiday parks fault!) other than that our stay was perfect

Liked: We loved it so much we ended up booking an extra day to see the air show.

The view was spectacular. Facilicties were fab and night time entertainment was fantastic. The site is walking distance to the pier and local supermarkets. Staff were very helpful too.

Disliked: The main food options on site were mainly burgers and fish and chips, which were yummy but after a while can get sluggish. Maybe more options of healthier food. The local store on site didn’t even sell a wide option of fruit.

Fully-serviced gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Vibrant Holiday Park ideal for families, we stayed before half term and booked again to come back during the school holidays a few day later. The first stay was quiet as were the facilities, coming back the site was bustling with activity, but none of the facilities were too busy. Except the early entertainment aimed at younger children which was heaving, fair play to the entertainment team who were great. There is a bus that goes into Paignton and Goodrington is a 30min walk away. The Restaurant is good and we had a great Sunday carvery. All staff are excellent.

Disliked: During low season not all facilities are open late.

From the north From the end of the M5 at Exeter, take the A380 towards Torquay and follow the signs to Paignton/Brixham. Continue along the A380/A3022 towards Brixham, going straight over the next three roundabouts, and past a number of traffic lights. At the set of traffic lights with the Premier Inn on your right, turn immediately left into Goodrington Road. Beverley Park is on your right. From the south From the A38, take the A385/A381 through Totnes towards Paignton. Turn right at the A3022 Brixham Road, towards Brixham. Beverley Park is within easy driving distance of Devon days out and activities for all weathers, whether you want to browse around award-winning attractions, dive into beach days and watersports or delve into the options of Dartmoor National Park. Kids can plead for days at Paignton Zoo Environmental Park just over a mile from Beverley Park, Living Coasts within four or Pennywell Farm at Buckfastleigh nine miles away. If history's more their thing (ha), they can try trips to the likes of Babbacombe Model Village and the Victorian street and model railway of Bygones history museum, both at Torquay. The park is close to the tiptop Devon towns of Torquay, Brixham, Torbay and Totnes; Dartmouth (ships! castle!) is about eight miles away for a day out then a Dartmouth Steam Railway trip puffing gently back to Paignton.
