What customers say
This secluded woodland spot offers peace and nature, with guests loving its privacy and wildlife. Enjoy wild camping with basic comforts like spring water and fire pits. Ideal for quiet seekers, but pack light due to the remote, bumpy access. Clearer signs would be a plus.

Me and my son visited so…
Badger non-electric grass and earth tent pitch (six person)
Liked Me and my son visited so we could go to the Grampus pub nearby. The site is rugged and wild (with pigs!), but we had lots of space around us and it felt so relaxing to be able to sit under the stars. Facilities are minimal, but they served us well. The site owners were friendly and explained how everything worked. Will definitely be back next year!
Disliked It is a bit of a hike to the site, with a steep hill, but we were totally OK with this. Just worth bearing in mind when you're packing.

Dormouse non-electric grass and earth tent pitch (five person)
Liked If you want peace and quiet and a place with no distractions, this is definitely the place! I suggest to pack as light as possible as the hill up to camp is steep but well worth it, the owners where lovely and even offered to carry some of our gear. Definitely recommend if you like wild camping.

Liked Amazing setting, so secluded and serene. The kids loved the wildlife. Not recommended if you’re a first time camper as facilities are minimal. But that’s part of the charm

A hidden gem of a place.
Dormouse non-electric grass and earth tent pitch (five person)
Liked It's a wood, up a twisty path, in a secret valley. It's like wild camping with a bit of help: water bottles: a sawdust toilet: somewhere to wash-up: a fire pit. There's birds galore and sheep, and some pigs.
Disliked We brought a festival trolley, which was mostly a good idea, but the rutted stone path weaving through the woods caused it to tip-over a couple of times.

Liked Stunning woodland campsite! Very peaceful and private, great for getting back to nature. Loved washing in the natural spring water and saying hello to the pigs!

Dormouse non-electric grass and earth tent pitch (five person)
Liked For me, this is the perfect campsite. Secluded pitches in the wood, a really idyllic forest setting, very basic amenities (the shower is basically a pipe in a hole in the ground which you climb down a ladder to!), and close to picturesque Lee village with it's wonderful rocky beach (a rock pooler's paradise). It is fairly inaccessible but that's exactly why I liked it!
Disliked Nothing.
