What customers say
Lovely sea views and beach access! Friendly staff, clean facilities & great food. Spacious pitches (some sloped). Kids' entertainment and dog field available. Mostly positive, just note potential road noise and pitch-to-facility distance.

Wonderful campsite!! Get loads of pitch…
Non-electric grass tent or campervan pitch (sea view, sloping)
Liked Wonderful campsite!! Get loads of pitch space, toilets were kept very clean and had shower rooms. Lovely food was served on the campsite + a little bar. Will definitely be returning

I’ve already recommended it for the views
Non-electric grass tent or campervan pitch (sea view, sloping)
Liked The views from the top grass field were amazing. There is a lot of facilities on offer such as a bar, toilets, washing up facilities.
Disliked Check in felt a bit rushed so I didn’t get all the info. If you are looking for a peaceful evening then probably best to avoid weekends during wedding season - listening to the saxophone was great to start with but was a bit monotonous after 3 hours on a Sunday evening

Well worth a visit for a convenient large site with friendly staff.
Electric grass pitch
Liked Nice site, close to Ilfracombe, good facilities.
Large dog walking area and great access to the South West Coastal path.
Disliked Very noisy neighbour as it is so close to a wedding venue.

Stay away from this park
Electric grass pitch
Liked Nothing
Disliked We booked this last minute and when we arrived the park wasn’t even open. There was a notice on the door stating the park had been closed down and was awaiting new ownership. They took our money and left us with nowhere to stay.

From the manager: Luckily for you we don’t give reviews to ‘customers’ John.
But….if we did, I’d give 10/10 for stupidity - you have booked the wrong site as I was sat waiting for you to arrive. Until 10pm.
We are open, and we aren’t for sale.
You’ve made a refund request to Daisy at Pitch Up I believe? Good luck…
Shame it is popular as would like this for myself

From the manager: Thank you for leaving a review.
Broadsands Beach was closed by our Local Council in April 2025, due to a landslide, which has taken out a set of steps. The beach is accessible by paddle board/kayaks from Combs Martin Beach.
We are waiting on the Council to confirm what action they will be taking with regard to the steps.
All the details have been on our website since April 2025. If there is any further news, we will share this on the Watermouth Valley website.
Quite possibly the best site we have ever been to.

Amazing views, access to coastal path, great amenties, 10/10
Non-electric grass tent or campervan pitch (sea view, sloping)
Liked The view from the top field was insane! Best view I’ve ever had at a campsite, 10/10! We stayed in a campervan on the sea view sloping pitch which lived up to its name, so definitely bring ramps! The toilets and showers were fab, + they do different food vans every night, it seemed like. The little coastal towns nearby are cute, I recommend walking down to the harbour and out to the little peninsula! You can access the SW coastal path from the site, unfortunately Broadsands Beach is currently closed at least until November due to a landslide so we were unable to visit, no fault of the campsite of course. It was an easy check-in and the campsite is very steep so the top pitches are not particularly accessible if you have walking difficulties, but they have lower pitches near to the loos etc so something for everyone. Will be coming back!
Disliked Nothing!

Fabulous campsite!
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Everything! Lovely site, clean and tidy. The food hut each night and bar was great especially as it had vegan options. Our 3 year old loved the games room and the kids park. It’s in a great position near the harbour and watermouth castle with Ilfracombe just a short drive away. Throughly loved our stay!
Disliked You can hear road noise at the bottom of the campsite but we found it didn’t bother us, you soon get used to it and stop noticing it.
Pitches are quite near to each other (compared to other places we’ve stayed) so make sure you take earplugs to drown out any snorers but this could happen anywhere you stay.
