Views across the countryside

  • Working farm site in Georgeham, two miles from the north Devon coast
  • Within easy reach of several award-winning surfing beaches
  • A five-minute stroll to two village pubs, a shop and a post office
Perfect your surf technique, swing your golf clubs, take a seaside saunter… alfresco antics await for guests at Incledon Farm Campsite, on a working farm at the edge of the Devon village of Georgeham. From this scenic spot 10 minutes' drive from Braunton in the North Devon Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty there’s easy access to the South West Coast Path and some of north Devon’s most fab beaches: it’s just a couple of miles to Woolacombe, Putsborough and Croyde beaches, and a 15-minutes drive to Saunton Sands. Pitches are set across two fields – The Platt and The Meadow – both of which have cracking views across the surrounding countryside. Allocated as you arrive, some pitches are level, but for the most part they've got a gentle slope. Wherever you set up, there's plenty of space for barbecues or running about (this is the kind of place that’s prone to spontaneous sociable games of footie or rounders while the coals get going). Reviews from previous guests have heaped praise on two particular aspects of the place: the friendly owners and the proximity of two local pubs, both a five-minute stroll away along with a shop selling essentials and local produce. Amenities at Incledon Farm Campsite include flushing toilets and hot showers.

What customers say

This well-kept, friendly farm campsite boasts spacious pitches & great country views. Guests rave about the hot showers & convenient washing-up spots. Ideal for beaches & pubs. Limited phone signal & facility distance noted, but not a major issue for most. Excellent value, many plan to return.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Lovely site - good shower/toilet facilities and simple site that is looked after. We could choose our pitch. Reception was very helpful when we arrived. 8 min drive to Croyde beach.

Disliked Liked everything about the site itself. The pricing structure does mean it becomes quite expensive quite quickly for a family (price is for 2 adults and then it's £7 p/night per child. This would put me off coming as a family again as it quickly climbs to well over £40 per night.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Great campsite - loads of space, plenty of showers. Part of a working farm so lots of animals which the kids enjoyed looking at.

Friendly and laid-back staff.

Two nice pubs within walking distance.

Short drive to several beaches including Croyde which has 'come and go' parking for £6 all day. Made for a great weekend.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Liked the open space of the non electric field but the electric field looked like it could be cramped if full.
Lovely and quiet.
It’s got a lot of potential.

Disliked Weren’t told where the chemical disposal was and it’s not signed. We had to ask other campers.
Long walk to the facilities.
Maggots creeping out of food waste bin.

Local attractions

Gentle rambles or all-day hikes are both equally fine plans on the spectacular South West Coast Path a couple of miles away. If you’d rather cycle through the scenery, the traffic-free Tarka Trail is a popular pick, starting three miles away in Braunton and running through woods and alongside the estuary. The site's within easy reach of some of the country's most popular surfing beaches, with miles of golden sand at Woolacombe, Putsborough, Croyde and Saunton Sands, all of which are less than 15 minutes away by car. If you’d prefer a bit of poking about in coastal villages, ride the world’s steepest water-powered railway in Lynmouth (45 minutes), or head to the cobbled streets of Clovelly (50 minutes). Tiddler-pleasing trips nearby include Exmoor Zoo (30 minutes) and the Milky Way Adventure Park (45 minutes). For golfing types, there are two good clubs in the immediate area – one at Woolacombe and another near Braunton with two award-winning 18-hole golf courses.
