  • Relaxed family-friendly pitches with sea views two miles from Padstow
  • Walk through the fields to Trevone Bay, Harlyn Bay and a natural pool
  • Barbecues and dogs allowed; restaurants and cafés a short walk away
Whether it’s a morning brew looking over the sea views, an afternoon surf session at the local beach or a dip in a natural swimming pool by the sea, relaxed are the breaks at the family and dog-friendly Trevose View Campsite. Two miles from Padstow and between two family-friendly beaches, the peaceful pitches at this family-run pop-up site are a spectacular base for exploring the coast along the many local footpaths or indulging in limitless plunges in the sea… So, pack up your beach picnic and any surfing gear and walk through the fields to the local beaches. Harlyn Bay beach (25 minutes’ walk) has surf hire and lessons for newbies to the swells, plus footpaths up to the National Trust’s Trevose Headland (55 minutes) or Mother Ivy's Bay (40 minutes). Your other local cove, Trevone beach (20 minutes’ walk), is a sweet place for slightly more experienced surfers, fans of sandcastle building and anyone who has a soft spot for lounging around in a beach café. You'll be poised to stop by the Trevone natural sea pool (half an hour) on the way or head further on towards Trevose Golf Course (40 minutes) for golf with more sea views. With local cafés, restaurants and farm shops within walking distance of the site, Padstow Harbour (40 minutes) packed with options for seafood dining and barbecues given the green light on site, you’ll be sorted food-wise at Trevose View Campsite.

Beautiful sea views, friendly staff, and top-notch facilities (showers are a hit!). Spacious pitches, tasty pizza and cocktails. Might need more loos and showers in busy periods.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Amazing location, simple site with insane views & everything in walking distance. Excellent facilities with on site coffee, pizza & cocktails & always a friendly welcome.
Fridge freezers, clean showers & lots of well kept loos.
We walked to Padstow, swam in the sea pool, surfed at Harlyn, picked up breakfast pastries at Trevone farm shop & ate at The Pig at Harlyn!

Disliked Only improvement would be hooks inside the loo doors! All else is perfect.

Es hab selbstgemachte Pizza 🍕, die super lecker gewesen ist. Und ein Cocktail 🍹-Wagen war auch vor Ort.
Duschen und Toiletten einfach , aber sauber. Für den Preis war alles super!

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Friendly staff, great proximity to the coastal path with several beaches and coves nearby including tidal pool on the rocks. Quiet site, staff presence ensured compliance. Loads of space so could spread out and not be overlooked. Lovely pizzas in the evening. We were a long way from the facilities but we didn't mind..we got very fit as a result!! Fridge and freezer available for ice blocks which was really useful in the heat. Lovely hot showers that didn't require putting a coin in every two mins.

Disliked The toilets were a bit cramped and there were only just enough so busy times at times but there were some sinks elsewhere for where teeth could be cleaned etc

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked The perfect combination of the simplicity of camping (no electric hook-ups) and a few little extras like the utterly delicious pizzas, very clean showers and toilets. The views are breathtaking and the sunsets to die for.
Very friendly and helpful staff and plenty of space.
The coast road 56 bus stops by the campsite entrance, so as a coast walker, it opens endless opportunities for start and finish points.

Local attractions

Whether it’s birdwatching at the National Trust’s Trevose Headland (55 minutes’ walk), attempting the climbing walls at The Tide Climbing Centre (10 minutes’ drive) or driving down to Newquay (half an hour) for more beaches, a zoo, aquarium or miniature golf, it’s easy to spice up a holiday in these parts. Pretty Padstow (40 minutes’ walk) has many of its own opportunities for an adventure. You may want to hire a bicycle and take off onto the 17-mile Camel Trail to see Wadebridge, Bodmin Moor and scenery along the river Camel, or board a ferry to get to Rock across the estuary, another great seaside destination with a stunning beach. Padstow is home to the National Lobster Hatchery (40 minutes) for those who’d like to see lobsters in the flesh, as well as the very fine Prideaux Place (half an hour), an Elizabethan country house that's sure to appeal to any history buffs in the group. Further afield, tick Tintagel Castle (50 minutes' drive) off the bucket list as you learn about Merlin’s cave and many more Arthurian legends.
