Blow away the cobwebs with a trip to Buttercup Meadow Camping, a peaceful site that's part of a family-run sheep farm in the scenic Weald of Kent. With several acres of grass – which are sheltered by gorgeous ancient woodland and surrounded by hay meadows, streams and ponds – you'll have plenty of space for all kinds of wild-style activities while still having access to essentials like loos and hot showers. Once you've pitched up, slow down and let the local area's bird-filled skies, dark starry nights and spectacular sunsets mark the tempo of your stay. Take the time to cook out of doors, perhaps over one of the firepits and barbecues hired out by the site (logs are available to buy on site too). Buttercup Meadow Camping can supply you with free-range eggs and quality grass-fed lamb burgers and sausages from their own farm or sort you out with equally excellent locally-sourced pork. Buttercup Meadow Camping is two miles from the small settlement of Smarden, where you'll come across two pubs and a well-stocked village shop. For a spot of retail therapy, you're also about 20 minutes from the many shopping outlets of Ashford.
