Liked: Incredibly friendly camp with a wonderful warm welcome.
Loved the quirky style and not having to vacate your pitch until mid day. The pitches are good and level, clearly marked out (and generous size) AND they let us book for asingle night.
Brilliant vibe to this place, and great location!

Liked: This campsite is so quirky, eco-friendly, and run but two of the most friendly, helpful, caring, dedicated people we've ever met...Maria & John/Stumpy. Who do everything themselves, from making the facilities, land/equipment and facility management and maintenance, manning the reception from 8am-10pm for all campers needs, with a great variety of food and drink on offer I should add, cleaning and tidying all facilities to being there for good banter and advice on where to visit etc
From the moment we met we were warmly welcomed, everything was explained clearly (how to use composting toilets, cold water for washing as hot water was prioritised for the showers - which is the way I prefer.lol) and were immediately given recommendations on where to visit...and as soon as we were set up and had some of their lovely bacon baps, as it was lunchtime, we headed to Ornamental drive as recommended, and fell in love with it.
There are 3 fields, with huge flat, mown pitches (10x10m), and you can pitch up anywhere you like. We chose the first field as it gave our kids the opportunity to have the entire middle of the field to play games for the entire stay (3 days), it was just wonderful. Showers were lovely and hot and the compost toilets didn't smell at all, honestly, I was amazed, not the faintest smell, and the kids found it quite exciting to get involved, filling their own cups of bark and bits supplied, to empty down the toilet after going. It was very impressive how spotless all of the facilities were, my kids would be very obvious with their reluctance to use facilities if they were slightly dirty or smelly, but they commented on how clean they were and that they were surprised they couldn't smell anything, they're 9 &6 and actually looked forward to going and filling the cups etc they also loved looking at all of the old number plates and fun items hanging all over the facilities plus really looked forward to using the can crusher, which was a favourite for all the kids.
There is no WiFi on this site..and it does say this on the ad. Camping is about enjoying the outdoors not being on devices.
All campers obeyed the 10pm quiet rule and everyone was really nice and respectful.
We were going to cancel as due high winds, but chanced it, and so glad we did, as the trees protected the site from it, which was a huge relief and meant we had such a fun time playing.
We would highly recommend this campsite, it's the kind of campsite that has a heart and soul to it, you can feel that SO much effort is put into it by Maria & John and that it's the complete opposite to a corporate campsite that just in it for the money.
Disliked: Not being able to stay longer :)

Liked: Could not have asked for a better campsite!
It is a small locally and family owned campsite with all you could require of a campsite!
Location is between lymington and the New forest so ideal for walks around nature or the port!
The owners are very friendly, with recommendations and guides to make your stay worthwhile! It has a small hut with essentials (chocolate and marshmallow, firewood etc) and some served food (pizza, bacon rolls etc).
Thank you and look forward to staying again!
Disliked: There could be another sink for washing up.

Liked: Well maintained campsite.
Pitches were clearly marked.
Great location: easy to find, sufficiently isolated from the town but near enough if we needed something. Near to the beach too.
Food and drink available on site.
Hot showers with decent water pressure.
Facilities cleaned regularly.
Friendly staff.
A radio was playing songs during the day at reception. Not loud enough so as to disturb anyone, but made their picnic area that much more relaxing.
Disliked: Promoted as "the best pizza in town"...
Well I'd hate to try the ones it beat! It will do in a pinch, but don't plan your evening around it. (Pretty sure it's just a supermarkets cheap version).
Compostable toilets. Yeah they don't smell as much as you'd think, but they still smell. Maybe people weren't adding the sawdust every time.
The hot water for washing up didn't seem to work.

From the manager: Thank you for taking time to review.
We aim to provide excellent value for money and friendly service throughout your stay.
Reading between the lines of your review I feel you would never be fully satisfied.
We are a 28 day eco friendly pop up campsite. Always clean and tidy manned 24hrs a day. The 'niggles' you wish to point out instead of simply chatting at reception directly to us make me wonder if a hotel would be a better choice next time.
Pizzas are all cooked in our stone baked oven. Different people , different tastes. Can't please everyone. Rude comments aren't welcome though and sadly typically British.
I defend our compost toilets as one of the cleanest at any campsite. You only need to read the other reviews folks to get a fair opinion.
Lovely site, great location.

Liked: Lovely pop-up eco camp site with plenty of room for kids to play. Three hot showers available in each male/female area and never a queue. Pizzas delicious and handy when you don't want to cook or go out. Great pub (The Plough) ten minutes walk away. Clean and well looked after with lively hosts. Don't panic about the composting toilets - they're absolutely fine!
Disliked: Would be useful to have a communal fridge.
Only one sink available for washing up, so often a queue.
Think the fire pits should be free if you're paying £12 for a bucket of fire wood.

Liked: We really enjoyed Camping at the Manor. The fields and pitches were really well maintained. I don't think I've pitched a tent on such flat ground before. There was plenty of room for our 8 man tent, Gazebo and car. There was also plenty of room for the 3 kids to run around.
The site is set up and thought out really well. All communal spaces, toilets, showers, reception, on site pizzeria / shop are positioned in the centre of the site so nothing is too far away.
All toilets and showers were exceptionally clean and maintained. The Showers were housed in a converted horse trailer. Love that the trailer has been given a new lease of life.
The hosts were outstanding. Always on site and ready to answer any questions about the site or the Locale. They gave us plenty of tips on places to visit nearby. The site really is excellently located and close to many beaches and nearby attractions. My kids really took to crabbing whilst we were there, the hosts not only suggested good spots but they even supplied us with some bait when we had run out.
A big thank you to Stumpy and his family. We really loved our stay! We will be back.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: The site was lovely, as it wasn't too busy (Easter weekend) we had lots of pitches to choose from, all nice and flat. The site owners are lovely and the whole set up is nicely done.
Disliked: Not so much an actual dislike, as there is only hot water in showers in the morning and no hot water available to wash dishes I personally wouldn't want to stay more than a weekend.
