What customers say
Beautiful, peaceful spot with sunflower fields and friendly hosts. Guests loved feeding goats; kids enjoyed the toys. Facilities okay and clean, good phone signal. Some September 2025 guests found pitches/toilets lacking. Recommended for quiet, basic, "wild camping" feel.

A very clean campsite with the necessary amenities.
Non-electric grass campervan or tent pitch
Liked We knew that the site was basic but it was a good place to access Suffolk and North Essex. There was 1 other camper there so was very peaceful. The facilities were as advertised. In the main field away from the camp are facilities for washing and a toilet. There was a children's play area too.
On the camp area, which is clearly signposted, there were 2 Portaloo toilets. The one that was nearest to us was very clean with toilet roll and hand sanitiser. We enjoyed the quiet area and completed a walk around the farmland with views of Hedingham Castle. There are several pubs in the village that serve food and a number of local shops. We will return if in the area - it is ideal for a short stay.

Non-electric grass campervan or tent pitch
Liked Very peaceful site with lovely friendly hosts. The toilets were clean and well stocked and there was hot, cold and drinking water available. For the little ones there is a lovely play area and also a beautiful little sunflower walk.
Disliked There was nothing to dislike.

Peace and quiet with lovely views.…
Non-electric grass campervan or tent pitch
Liked Peace and quiet with lovely views. This is like wild camping but with the benefit of toilets, dish washing facilities and drinking water. Nice flat grass pitches of a decent size. I didn't get to see the goats but that was my fault (hopefully next time!). I would recommend this site to anyone who wants to keep camping simple.
Disliked Nothing for this type of site - don't expect the amenities of big sites.

Liked What a lovely place to stay! We were lucky we had the place to ourselves. Lovely hearing the wildlife in the night, dogs loved it and it was such a clean and tidy place to stay. Highly recommend.
We messaged to say we may be a tad late and a lovely welcoming email.
I meant to see the goats but I forgot so we will be back 🥰

Non-electric grass campervan or tent pitch
Liked Was quiet, left alone to do your own thing
Disliked Only one toilet at the far end of the field

Area was nice and off the beaten track, but wouldn't return.
Non-electric grass campervan or tent pitch
Liked Quiet Location
Disliked The placement of all pitches was small and narrow, 1/3rd of a field.
Toilet & Refuse were not sufficient.
Placement of pitches and size of area is not as described, the cut grass area to place caravans/tents was narrow.
The toilet (one portaloo) was at one end and a black wheelie bin for "refuse" at the other.
One family had pitched up across the field, making it difficult to access the toilet. Albeit, the owners offered a partial refund for the inconvenience as it wasn't described and we had to look for alternate accommodation.
