What customers say
A proper peaceful spot with lekker views of Morecambe Bay. Facilities are spick and span. Owners are friendly, and the coffee and croissant service is a treat. Pitches are spacious. Some folks mentioned wind and bumpy bits, but it’s a great place for a chill break.

A perfect place to relax and a great base for exploring the area/lakes
Bell tent (basic)
Liked Stayed here for one night on the way back from the Lakeland Segway experience in Cartmel. It was the perfect choice for us as it was only half an hour away from Cartmel and it was cheaper than the other available hotels.
The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. I liked how we were met on arrival, given a choice of tent and that we had a nice chat about what to do/where to go in the area. There was a local beer festival on in a nearby village which sounded cool.
We stayed in a deluxe bell tent, and it was absolutely gorgeous—a comfy bed, bedside tables, lights, patio/decking area, and the most amazing sea view. The nearby showers and toilet area were modern and clean.
In the evening, we went to a nice pub called the Royal Hotel in nearby Bolton Le Sands. The Chinese/Vietnamese restaurant ‘Trungs‘’ was just across the road so we decided to get a takeaway to take back to the tent. It was really good.
We liked being able to wake up and have the option to buy some breakfast from the on-site ‘ScarBucks’ I went for coffee and croissant, my partner had a bacon butty. All were fresh, tasty and nicely.
Will definitely be returning!
Disliked Nothing…I just wish I could have stayed for a few more nights.

Liked A wonderful campsite, with beautiful views in a peaceful location. 20 min walk to the pub and the best camping toilets and showers we've seen, what more could you want. The coffee and croissants on offer in the morning were the icing on the cake. Would definitely return. Great value for money.

Lovely site, friendly owners and great, clean facilities.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Friendly helpful staff/owners who greeted us on arrival and explained where to go. The camping grounds are well maintained with nicely cut grass and lovely scenery (either looking out to sea or surrounding woodland etc.). The toilet/shower block is really nice, well maintained, cleaned and stocked. The 'Scar bucks' croissant and coffee trailer is handy and has some nice refreshments available. Highly recommend a trip down to 'The Old School Brewery' for a drink and great food which is just a short walk (25 mins) into Warton either down the road or on country paths.
Disliked Nothing to dislike that is the owners fault, these are more 'be aware' pointers. The site is quite exposed if there is a Westerly Coastal wind, get pitched over the back of the hill. There is no village shop in Warton so if you forget anything, its a trip into Carnforth (45 minute walk), the site would benefit from a little shop for essentials in future maybe. No biggie but I couldn't locate the freezer facility, some regulars said where it used to be, but it had moved and I couldn't find the owner to ask (at the time).

Perfect Peaceful Getaway with All the Comforts of Home
The Bullpen cottage / chalet / bungalow
Liked We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this holiday home and couldn't recommend it more. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The location was stunning—nestled in a peaceful, quiet area with beautiful surroundings and fresh air. It was also easy to find and had plenty of convenient parking right on-site, which made coming and going a breeze.
The home itself had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It was fully equipped with all the essentials for cooking, from pots and pans to utensils and basic supplies, which made it easy to whip up meals when we wanted. The WiFi was fast and reliable, so we could stay connected throughout our trip, whether for work or leisure.
Anne, our host, was truly exceptional. She was always available when we needed anything and incredibly responsive to any questions we had. Her helpfulness really made the experience even better.
One thing that stood out was how convenient it was to order food. Each night, we used Uber to get takeout from Lancaster, which added a nice variety to our meals without any hassle. It’s a great option if you want the best of both worlds—having the ability to cook or enjoy local restaurants without needing to drive.
Overall, this is a perfect getaway spot, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene retreat with all the comforts of home!

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked The hosts couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Great facilities, a beautiful quiet site with spectacular views over Morecambe Bay. Great brewery with a bar and canteen (Old School Brewery) only 20-30min walk down the road. All topped off with coffee and croissants on-site in the morning from 8. Toilets and showers best I’ve ever used on a campsite. All round great experience (despite the weather), will definitely be coming back. Thank you.
