Peaceful no-frills farm site just by the Lancashire coast

Sandvilla Farm Wild Camping is a friendly site on a working farm close to the Lancashire coast, about 15 minutes’ drive south of Lancaster. With easy access to the M6 (about 10 minutes away) this site makes a most handy stopover point for those on long journeys north or south. It’s worth hanging around a little longer if you can, though – there’s plenty to see and do here, with lots of walks along the coast or in the Forest of Bowland and day trips to Blackpool, Morecambe and the Lake District to be had (and a good handful of independent pubs to dine or drink in too…) It’s a fairly laidback setup here, but it's not completely wild camping, as you'll have access to a toilet block and a washing-up area. There’s also a warm shower – but that’s specifically for hosing down any muddy dogs (you’ll have to hand over 50p to use it but no doubt your mutt will love it). When not being washed, dogs should stay on a lead at all times (this is a farm, after all) and their doings placed in the bins provided.
