Camping is at the back of New Ing Lodge, on the lawn and up into the field beyond. We have installed a new toilet/shower block in the old stables and have a wash basin for pots and pans. We also do evening meals cooked by the Pub Pie Champion of the UK 2011 and from local produce and we take orders up tp 6:30pm. We also do breakfasts from £4 with a wide array of local ingredients as we like things local! All the hotwater for the showers comes from BioMass produce to reduce our carbon footprint, and we also have recycling on site for those who want to give it a go!

Local attractions

We are fortunate to be located on the Edge of the beautiful Lake District National Park and very close to the Howgills and the Pennine Fells. The Lake District is the country's biggest adventure playground with something to do for everyone no matter how energetic, or not as the case may be! We have walking right on our frontdoor and a small drive away would lead you into the lake district national park where there are plenty of walks. Mountain biking is a great activity and there is Whinlatter forest at Keswick (about 35 minutes away) where you can hire bikes and go out for the day! Climbing is in abundance in the area, or if the weather turns then you could always try your hand at the uk's largest indoor wall at Kendal Climbing Wall. As you may have guest we like our food and theres nowhere better than the lakes grub we can recommend lots of places to eat from one of the last remaining water powered mill yards to boutique chocolate factories.
