  • Adults-only tourer site with stunning views of Cumbria’s Duddon Valley
  • Swinside Stone Circle and Eskdale waterfalls 20 minutes’ drive
  • Birdwatching and dark skies; shops and pubs within 10 minutes’ drive
If you’re after spectacular views and no crowds, that’s what you’ll get at Sella Farm Camping, 10 minutes’ drive from Broughton-in-Furness in Cumbria’s dramatic Duddon Valley. This tiny adults-only touring site on a working beef and sheep farm has grass pitches with direct access to the fells, and a tangle of footpaths and bridleways located all around the property. As the emphasis is on getting out into the stunning lakeland scenery, there’s not much in the way of practical amenities (charging facilities, chemical disposal and recycling) at Sella Farm. Chances are that birdwatching, stargazing on clear nights, wild swimming in the River Duddon (10 minutes’ walk) or boating on Coniston Water (half an hour’s drive) will soon make up for any lack of facilities. Drag yourself away from the stunning landscapes and you can get to a couple of food pubs within 10 minutes’ drive, and a grocery shop, bakery and butcher at Broughton-in-Furness. The nearest supermarket is at Millom (20 minutes in the car).

Non-electric hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch

Liked We loved this campsite, the views were just incredible. The campsite is nestled in the mountains, close to lots of walking paths. When we got there we met the owner, she was lovely and made us and our dog feel welcome. There's no toilet and shower facilities but this was advertised and we were looking for a wild campervan spot so this was perfect. It a small site with only a few spaces so even full I don't think would feel busy. We will definitely be back
