What customers say
Stunning spot, super clean facilities, and the friendliest staff! Pitches are private and spacious, great for walks. Shop/cafe is handy. Mostly rave reviews, just a couple of notes on pitch spacing and water points. Peaceful, well-run, and guests want to come back.

Lovely but due to the cold we didn’t get the best experience.
 Meadow shepherd's hut
 Liked The views were lovely.
It was great not having to leave the hut for the toilet.
The very much needed log burner was a god send!
Disliked I am aware it’s expected to be small but there was no where to store non fridge items such as bread, biscuits etc. We had to jig around things on the shelves to make some space and keep the rest in bags on the floor.
Small things could be added to the hut such as a few extra hooks, a small fold up table to eat from and a dust pan and brush. The grass was cut shortly after we arrived and was damp so the grass was trailed in the hut constantly, this got everywhere and we had nothing to sweep it out with.
The heater kept going off with an error code.
The windows didn’t seem to close fully so there was a constant draft and it was nearing freezing overnight.

Electric optional hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch
Liked One of the best sites we have stayed at. Individual pitches, great views, friendly staff, clean facilities and close to Hadrian’s Wall. Communication was excellent before hand and on the day of arrival (we were delayed so missed check-in time). Pitches were well spaced and ours came with a picnic bench. The night sky is amazing as the site is in a dark skies area.
