What customers say

Stunning panoramic views from spacious pitches. Spotless, hotel-quality bathrooms with underfloor heating and nice toiletries. Super friendly, helpful owners sharing local tips. Peaceful "hidden gem" with farm animals. Minor notes on open elevation and washing-up area, but most guests want to come back!

Electric optional grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked The site is at the top of a hill giving a great view all round the area. The sitting area with the fire pit is great for a place to just sit and relax. The bathroom/ showers are immaculate and you would think you walked into a hotel bathroom to find real towels rather than cheap paper ones plus real toilet roll... need I say more we have all been to them places with the stuff that your finger....

Electric optional hardstanding and grass pitch

Liked Level pitches with gorgeous views, facilities that would rival a 5* Hotel and there’s even super fast WiFi on the pitches! Lauren and Charles the owners are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area with lots of suggestions for walks, things to see and places to visit in the area. This is a real “hidden gem” in the Dales. If you want the stunning views like the Lake District but without the crowds then this is the place to visit.

Local attractions

The energetic among you will no doubt relish the challenge of hiking the Three Peaks (it’s 10 minutes’ drive to Ingleborough), or try climbing at Castleberg Rock (10 minutes) and fell running directly from the campsite. But there’s plenty of low-octane fun to be had too: have a potter around Malham Cove (25 minutes), or spot the stream trains chugging across sweeping Ribblehead Viaduct (25 minutes). Pretty Dales towns to explore include Hawes (40 minutes), where you can learn about local life in the Dales Countryside Museum and taste award-winning cheeses at Wensleydale Creamery. The market town of Giggleswick and its close neighbour Settle (10 minutes) are both packed with cosy old pubs, while in Skipton (half an hour), you can cruise the Leeds and Liverpool Canal on a day-hire barge. And talking of water, you can be cruising Lake Windermere in 50 minutes, fishing on Stocks Reservoir in the Forest of Bowland in 40 minutes, or following the circular trail to dramatic waterfalls at Ingleton (20 minutes).
