  • Well-maintained adults-only holiday park at Cliffe in North Yorkshire
  • Designer Outlet York 20 minutes’ drive, and historic York 25 minutes
  • Super-sized pitches with a weekend clubhouse and bar across the road
Jumbo-sized pitches and a properly warm Yorkshire welcome are what you can expect at Linda’s Farm at Four Acres Holiday Park, found 10 minutes’ drive from Selby in the tiny North Yorkshire village of Cliffe. Specifically set up for large motorhomes, the family-run site is easy to get to from both the M62 and the A1(M). Opened in 2024, this adults-only spot is just the job for anyone looking for some quiet downtime on landscaped pitches with views over the surrounding fields. They’re all fully-serviced, but there is also a pristine shower block available for your use. You can source most basics in Cliffe’s well-stocked shop, or have a wander down to the local pub (20 minutes’ walk) for a crafty pint of Yorkshire ale; there’s a beer garden for warmer days. At the weekend, the action ramps up a bit with entertainment across the road at the sister site Cliffe Country Lodges, where you can chat with your neighbours at the on-site clubhouse and bar.

What customers say

Spacious, well-serviced pitches on this new site. Impeccable loos, great staff (especially Alan!). Sister site bar is a vibe. Some say not adults-only, and minor teething issues with newness, but most want to return.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Big pitch

Disliked This is not a holiday destination, the majority of people on the site are resident and have built a community, though it’s advertised as adult only, there were children on site . Waking up to my neighbour mowing the lawn in his fenced off patch wasn’t a holiday

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked As we arrived on site we were warmly welcomed by Alan the site manager, he was extremely helpful and nothing was to much trouble. Pitches and shower block are a perfect size and very clean.
We got set up and went to bar on site opposite and all I can say is what friendly people they were, bar is cash only but don’t worry if you don’t have cash someone is always willing to help.
We will definitely be back. Thank you ☺️

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Peaceful very pleasant site, pristine showers and loo's good value, large pitches beautiful surroundings. Sean's bar 2 minutes walk. Dog friendly bar as well.

Disliked No shop on site for those little Necessities and no hose at the elsan point.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your kind comments, sorry we don't have a shop on site, hopefully you found the village shop open which is just a mile away. We have a hose pipe for Elsan I do hope it didn't drop in. Should you return and there is no hose pipe please call the number you are given on arrival and this will be addressed.

Electric grass tent pitch

Liked The facilities were clean enough.

Disliked We booked this site to test out our tent and had reserved a pitch with electricity in advance.

According to the information on Pitchup, we were instructed to check in at reception between 1-5PM, present ID, and sign registration forms. However, when we arrived at 3PM there was no one at reception. We called the number listed for the site owner, and he told us to wait outside reception- we waited for around 10 minutes. When he eventually arrived (a friendly enough person), he didn’t ask for any ID, check our booking, or confirm who we were.

He then explained that some tents and caravans had turned up earlier in the day without bookings and had taken pitches. As a result, he said he would try to “fit us in.” One of the spaces he suggested actually turned out to have a VW camper on that had gone out. If we had of set up here, we would have intruded their space and had to take everything down.

Despite having prepaid for a designated pitch with electricity, we were placed on a random patch of grass between two permanent pitches. This spot wasn’t even a proper pitch, and we were essentially displaced because others who hadn’t booked were allowed to take our reserved space. This felt disorganized and unprofessional- the site should not allow walk-ins to occupy reserved pitches without first verifying availability.

The electricity we were provided came from one of the adjacent permanent pitches, which didn’t feel ideal.

To make matters worse, our neighboring tent group partied until 1:30AM, and we didn’t get to sleep until around 2:00AM. There were no wardens or staff on-site to manage noise levels. Additionally, the site was advertised as “adults only,” yet we saw children during our stay. While this didn’t bother us personally, it contradicts the site’s stated policy.

The listing also claimed to offer WiFi, but there was none available- something we later noticed has been mentioned in multiple reviews.

The facilities were clean enough. However, I can’t comment on the experience for touring guests. For those in tents, I wouldn’t recommend it- it felt like we were an afterthought. We paid £30 for the night, the same rate as a caravan with a proper pitch, and left feeling quite disappointed.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Very large flat pitches, though only a couple of toilets and showers we never had to wait and absolutely spotlessly clean (they are separate male and female blocks)nice soft lighting by the pitches we were greeted by Alan who looks after everything though we didn’t see his world famous pj’s he was great, the staff at Sean’s bar across the the road were fantastic and very friendly especially Karen she couldn’t be nicer the residents were very chatty which was a treat to chat with some of them, the bar is dog friendly inside and out but must be on the lead at all times, I found the bar pricing for a caravan park ok (my personal experience) but it is cash only, back to the dogs there is a massive field across the road for your furry family which is gated so safe to let them rip and everyone picks up after them so nice and clean, just remember folks this site is brand new and the owners and staff are feeling their feet with a few things but it was an absolute pleasure to stay there and I couldn’t recommend it enough can’t wait to go back, oh and ignore the sat nav try and enter via York road as the country lanes are very tight though manageable York Road is easier

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked We booked a 8 day stay here at lindas farm and we have a great time..
The site was perfect, great location to places we wanted to visit and the weather was great too.

Site was clean and tidy including the toilets and shower rooms.

The pitches were flat and every pitch had a water supply which is always handy.

Also Nice to see lighting on every pitch.

Host very very welcoming even the locals when we popped over the club house.

Would recommend this campsite to everyone.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Clean toilet & shower. Large pitch.

Disliked Advertised as 'ADULTS ONLY' yet there were kids playing ball!
Although we pre booked the guy at gate had no idea where to put us asking if we needed waste.
When we eventually got on our pitch we were shocked to see the electric hook up was an extention tie wrapped to a piece of metal post, no means of isolation or a circuit breaker.
The grey waste was the main sewer pipe in the ground so we were constantly smelling sewer waste, nasty!

Although the 2 toilets & showers were clean & stocked when we arrived they were dirty, unstocked & bins overflowing on 3rd day. No one had been to clean loos in our 4 days we were there.
I had to queue few times.
Also one of the loo door locks broke & I was locked in, hubby had to rescue me, good job I had my phone with me!
I put broken lock on sink & it was still there next day, not fixed.

We were very shocked to see kids as this is advertised as Adults Only!

There were tents just plonked on piece of grass in front of loos that didn't look like a tent pitch area. One tent partying till early hours, very rowdy & drunk!.

There were no disabled facilities which was awful for me as I use a mobility scooter & couldn't get close to loos due to the harsh sharp gravel & high slabs that would cause me to topple over & probably puncture my tyres. No lighting down alley to loos.

If you want to use bar over the road be aware the gate closes at 9pm & if you use mobility scooter/wheelchair make sure you get keypad code as you can't get in or out without it. We found out the hard way when we had to get one of the park residents to let us in.

Our pitch had a huge piece of hard metal sticking out ground that would of punctured our caravan & car tyres if I hadn't of seen it when I tripped over it.

In our opinion it was very disappointing.

Adults Only should mean Adults Only!!

We were charged a premium price for this pitch which we feel was not premium at all!

We didn't feel relaxed here. Seeing kids was the last straw, we nearly left a day earlier!

We couldn't wait to get home, very disappointing.

Electric grass tent pitch

Liked A fantastic experience all round. The friendliness of the onsite staff made a real difference — welcoming, helpful and always approachable. Security on site was Reassuring, and the entire area was spotless throughout our stay. You can really see the attention to detail in how the site is run. The showers and toilets were consistently clean, well-maintained, and far better than expected. Highly recommended.

We had purchased a tent pitch with power and we didnt really need the power so the site Manager directed us to a lovely little quiet corner of the site. Was very nice.

Disliked We did have to travel a little further to get food, but we’d planned for that and it wasn’t an issue — plus the locals were absolutely lovely.
