What customers say

Pods are tops! Super clean, kitted out, and pretty. Hot tubs are private and a treat. Hosts are lekker, with nice extras. Grounds are peaceful. Close to village shops and pubs. Pods can get warm, some prefer more privacy for hot tubs.

1 bedroom camping pod (hot tub, pet friendly)

Liked The place was nicely presented clean and tidy and views and surroundings were very nice

Disliked From the moment we arrived the tv didn’t work as it was logged into a previous guest we had two visits from members of staff who both couldn’t and didn’t rectify the problem so was left with trying to watch tv on a mobile phone not great we was told we’d have a bottle of Prosecco on arrival as previous guests had but we didn’t when we arrived when I asked I was told they didn’t do it anymore

1 bedroom camping pod (hot tub, no pets)

Liked Pod was spotless and cosy with everything we needed. The hot tub was great and felt private, and we even had a hedgehog wander past one evening! Peaceful spot, ideal for a family break - we’d happily stay again.

Disliked All the crockery and cutlery was set for four, which made dinner time a little stressful when we needed a fifth plate or extra bits.

1 bedroom camping pod (hot tub, pet friendly)

Liked Very clean, the hosts were extremely friendly and we really enjoyed the chickens that were wandering around the grounds

Disliked Would prefer abit more privacy around the hot tub, as the fence had gaps throughout, and could be easily looked in to.

1 bedroom camping pod (hot tub, pet friendly)

Liked The site is beautifully maintained and immaculate! The pod was beautiful inside and out. Little touches like having tea, coffee and some hot chocolate was good. The hot tub was brilliant and private, with a nice view. The big field was excellent for the dogs and my daughter loved the park.

Disliked None come to mind.

1 bedroom camping pod (hot tub, pet friendly)

Liked The pod was so much more than a pod. Full kitchen with hob, airfryer, full size fridge, kettle and all the pots, pans and cutlery you could need. Full-sized comfy double bed. Spotlessly clean. Hot tub perfect, clean and nice and warm. 5* pod without a doubt!

1 bedroom camping pod (hot tub, no pets)

Liked Fantastic location for a peaceful getaway where the children had space to safely run and play.
The pod is large with everything you need and nicely decorated appropriately for the Peacock pod that we stayed in.
Other things we enjoyed were the walk on the outskirts of the village, the village amenities, the fire pit and of course the hot tub.

Local attractions

For some city serious sightseeing, the landmark minster and labyrinth of medieval streets packed with museums, indie shops and posh restaurants are the siren calls of lovely York (40 minutes’ drive). Another historic town is Beverley (half an hour), with its own ornate Gothic-era minster, vibrant painted ceilings in St Mary’s Church and lengthy walks on the Westwood common land. Heading back into the countryside, the East Riding of Yorkshire has a brace of stately homes to check out: Elizabeth Burton Agnes Hall (40 minutes) is open for tours of its interior – little changed since the early 17th century, while the elegant Castle Howard (45 minutes) has gilded apartments and expansive parkland full of follies to wander. If you’d rather be out doing something sporty, there are several golf courses within 20 minutes’ drive, or you might care to bring the bike with you and cycle upland tracks on the Yorkshire Wolds (half an hour).
