Urban life feels very far away when you stay at Manor Farm Camping, in the East Yorkshire village of Woodmansey – but in fact this rural site is very handily placed in between Beverley (10 minutes’ drive) and Hull (20 minutes), putting you within easy reach of both town and country attractions. And that’s not all, because this fabulous family-friendly site is also less than half an hour’s drive from the coast, putting beach days and seaside strolls on the menu too. It’s all about rural life on the farm itself though – and that includes plenty of space for the kids to run around, and activities for them to get stuck into. The family area of the site is centred around a great play area where kids can make new pals while parents chill out nearby; a quieter area by the wildlife-filled lake is also available for those who are after a more peaceful experience. Central to this site is the Farmer’s Den café, which sells hot and cold snacks along with a range of drinks and local ice creams; it also runs a variety of kids’ cooking activities during weekends and school holidays, and hosts special food evenings including Friday pie nights and Saturday pizza nights (with tasty dishes from the wood-fired pizza oven). You may also come across live music and other special events while you’re here. Facilities on site have all the essentials covered – including a shared fridge, a washing-up area, a chemical disposal point, drinking water supply and a bathroom block with toilets and hot showers.

  • A cable measuring at least 20 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.

  • At least one of the party members must be aged 21 or over.

Vehicles

  • Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.
  • Continental touring caravans (caravans built with the passenger door on the right-hand side) are not permitted.
  • Units longer than 8m metres are not allowed.

Safety

  • Fires, barbecues and/or firepits will not be permitted in dry, windy and/or hot weather conditions.
  • Swimming in the lake is not allowed.

Occupancy

  • Group bookings of 2 or more units travelling together are not permitted via Pitchup.com.
  • Group bookings of 5 or more adults are not permitted (couples and immediate family members excepted).
  • No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.
  • Single-sex bookings of 5 or more people (excluding couples) are not permitted via Pitchup.com.

General

  • Please note that the toilet/shower facilities are unisex.

Dogs

  • The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.
  • The campsite will be hosting live music events until late evening on 11 July, 17 July, 18 July, 1 August and 25 September.

Liked Lovely site, clean and well kept (first season new) shower/toilet block. Pizza is to die for! Good sized pitches and Andy and Sarah are lovely people running the show. Cooking activities for the kids were welcome too, kept the child entertained and came back with a traybaked brownie for us all
To enjoy.

Rules of 9pm play park closing and 10pm for noise were well kept to and the park was quiet when it was meant to be at later hours.

Disliked Not being able to try the pies on Friday night due to plans with family.

Liked Clean and very new looking toilet/shower block.

Disliked Pond was a bit ‘stinky’ - due to low water levels.

Non-electric grass campervan or tent pitch (pet friendly)

Liked This is one of the best camping sites I’ve had the pleasure to visit.

Warm welcome as we turned up, very polite and accommodating.

Catherine and her staff cannot do enough for everyone, which makes the stay even more enjoyable.

Without doubt the cleanest and well kept campsites around, shower rooms are of the highest standard and well maintained.

Disliked Dont book through 3rd party like i did as you dont get the full ins and outs of whats going on. Luckily staff was happy to help

Liked Really enjoyed our stay at Manor Farm. The site was really well kept, the facilities were clean and maintained to a high standard and the communication was great.
We enjoyed our pizzas on pizza night and although we didn't have pies on pie night, I'm sure they would be good too. There were also other things on offer like goat walking and cookery classes for the kids and a nice play area. The site was well located with plenty to do within a 30 minute drive.

Liked Lovely site, wonderful staff. Good amenities. Clean showers and toilets.

Disliked Really wanted to wind down and relax to the max but been placed so close to families with children and kept on hearing the children running around our tent during the day and night. Got abit irritating after a while.

Why do that if you don't like children running around. Your pitch had 3 sides of hedging one backing up to the perimeter so no access at all, so there was no way children could run "around your tent", Very strange comment. We have lovely quiet pitches around the pond that would have been a better choice. X
